This is hilarious.
I guess it is time again for me to repeat my often-ignored and otherwise rejected theory ( :-) ) that Kerry worked for U.S. Intelligence during and after Vietnam.
That would explain his bizarre phony service record, his rapid move into the Vietnam Veterans Against The War, and his equally rapid move and rise in politics.
Just remember this guy was a Skull and Bones member at Yale (which was a leading intelligence community recruiting tool at the time) and that it was U.S. policy under Nixon to spy on anti-war protestors in an effort to determine the source of their funding.
I could go on, but the bottom line is that I think Kerry has a big big secret to hide that would anger his supporters beyond imagining.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, never thought of that, c. That would explain some things, wouldn't it? But the guy's such a misfit and a dork, it's hard to think our intel community was scraping the bottom of the barrel, but maybe that's what the situation called for: a dork instead of James Bond.
Grist for the mill...

Riiiight, that explains why he is still a communist sympathizer, he's an under cover agent for the CIA.

"that Kerry worked for U.S. Intelligence during and after Vietnam"
Naah! I don't buy it. I prefer to believe Kerry is nothing but traitorous liberal left scum. If he had worked for any intelligence agency of the time, a much better cover story than his BS would have been created for him.
To: cgbg
While it would explain a few things, I really doubt it. First, Ketchup Boy would never be able to keep his mouth shut. He has to brag about everything he's done, and some he never did. Second, I honestly think he's too dumb to be a clever, covert agent. And as a former "company" man, why'd he vote constantly over the years to gut the military and CIA?

As Foghorn Leghorn would say, "Kerry, I say, Kerry reminds me of Paul Revere's ride - A little light in the belfry."

Interesting theory, but my impression of Kerry is that, while he is a glib and articulate (if factually inconsistent) speaker, he's not really all that bright. It takes a very clever person to lie and contradict themself without it becoming obvious or a problem. Gore (who along with Joe Biden is one of the more patently stupid politicians I've ever seen) couldn't pull it off and neither could Kerry. I don't believe your theory is correct but it is an interesting idea nonetheless.

Your theory is a stretch, but plausible.
Until you read the text of the Christmas in Cambodia speech he delivered on the Senate floor in the late 80's. The good Senator said that he was acting on secret orders from Nixon, who was not sworn into office until weeks later. Not only is Kerry an unrepentant liar, he's really bad at it.
To: cgbg
Hmm. That's the first time I've seen that theory in "print". Pretty interesting idea but if it were true I think he would have come clean during the election because I honestly think info of this type would have helped him with red staters and silenced the Swift Vets.

You may be right... far fetched but possible....
>> "That would explain his bizarre phony service record"<<
How so???...it appears he phonied all the records himself...no higher ups involved in his "cover"...in fact just the opposite occurred...It appears they all saw him as a "loose cannon"!......If he had any kind of intel backing, it would have been done a lot better then him doing phony movie reenactments and self-woundings....IMHO...He got a free pass because he was Jean "FORBES" Kerry...nothing more..nothing less...The intel community had hundreds of "real hero's" that would have gladly infiltrated the anti-war groups...they didn't have to make one up..Logic tells me...when it quacks like a duck...walks like a duck..it's a DUCK!!

That kind of activity pre-dated Nixon and some of it was also conducted by DoD (inside the US).

Occam's Razor.
A clumsy attempt to hide a less-than-honorable discharge as a result of his anti-war activities is a far simpler and hence far more likely explanation.
I shouldn't think anybody who wanted to accomplish any particular goal would hit on JF'nK as their man for the job.

Not so crazy, but I don't think so, because the Nixon White House went all out to sink Kerry in his Jane-Fonda-Tom-Hayden Days.
However, here's another possible gambit: When Clinton was taking heat for the mysterious as-yet-unexplained years he spent wandering around Russia, East Germany, and Czechoslovakia after he left Oxford under the cloud of a possible rape charge etc, his wonkstaff tried to float the idea that HE was actually a loyal patriot working under cover. No one bought it and they dropped it. Kerry's folks may now be trying the same thing.
Look for Tom Woodward to take up this cudgel. Kerry may well have been a government agent, but I don't think it was for our team. Some day, we'll get the REAL (if indeed there is such a thing a s a "real" KGB File) KGB files on Clinton and Kerry (not to mention Lee Harvey Oswald)... and the Holbrooke fink ...who also spent a lot of time behind the Iron Curtain in his youth.

If he did work for U.S. Intelligence then why the ultra-lefty voting since then?
To: cgbg
Kerry didn't have the time for undercover work, he was too busy testifying before the committee spinning lies about his fantastic tour of duty - all 3 + months of it....
Once finished trashing his fellow soldiers, he was too busy running for office. The Kerry time line makes it clear; he was working for Hanoi before and after he was finally elected to office. Skull and Bones is not what you are painting it if I read you correctly
you are absolutely right about Kerry having something to hide his life is one of fraudulent myths about bravery, leadership, and brightness. I will give him clever and cunning along with a willing MSM to give him a pass just as they do Ms. Clinton, another mythical star fostered on the nation as the smartest woman with a huge following well neither is she smart or her following large, she is also cunning and very dangerous when cornered.

Knowing Kerry, he probably worked both sides of the street:
1. Pro War
2. Anti War
Look at his stances on Iraq and the WOT.
