AHNULD'S AMERICA

February 13, 2005 -- GOV. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Austria's gift to American politics and other entertainments, cannot be president because he is not a "natural born citizen," but that does not mean his political power is confined to California. This state is so big — the economy of Los Angeles County is almost as large as Russia's economy — that the continent can reverberate from what happens here, and Schwarzenegger expects much to happen in the next 10 months.

No Democrat could beat Arnold if he can lead the ticket in 2008.

But he isn't going to be on the Presidential ticket in 2008, so oh well.

He favors abortion rights, does not care if any state's voters endorse gay marriage, and has "no use" for a constitutional amendment barring that. Hence some Republicans consider him useful but not a proper communicant in the church of true conservatism.

No I do not beleive he would in my humble opinion. Remember what and who put our President in the Whitehouse twice. The same people would never vote for him because of the above, and that includes the south.

Who are they going to vote for instead: Hillary Clinton?

Remember: Arnold won 50% of the vote in California with a conservative Republican in the race.

Remember: California is worth, in the Electoral College, as much as Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia combined.

Throw in Oregon and Washington, and the Pacific Coast is worth as much as virtually the entire South.

Now, I'm not really for him (I'm for Newt), but he'd have a supremely easy time of winning.

I vote we send this Austria liberal home and start cleaning up the financial mess in California which Schwarzenegger is making worse by proposing and approving record spending and borrowing.

When Schwarzenegger took office the state's budget was $8B upside down. By the end of Schwarzenegger's three year term of office the budget imbalance will be nearly double that amount.

It will take years for California to recover from the financial damage Schwarzenegger is inflicting upon it. God forbid Schwarzenegger gets his hands on the federal purse strings.

Ahnold should go and try to be chancellor of Germany. We all saw how well having an Austrian chancellor worked out for them before.

God forbid Schwarzenegger gets his hands on the federal purse strings.

..or allows for the transfer of the assets of the CalPERS and CalSTRS pension funds to Wall St firms for 'management' of said funds by folks who aren't technically special interests but , nonetheless, will contribute mightily to the causes the Gub pursues, all in the best interests of the people, of course.

The question is, what people? Aren't the richy rich already rich enough?.

Arnold doesn't fit into a straitjacket. In many ways, he IS a liberal. Where he parts company with them is in his unabashed passion for the free market and his desire to cut government down to size. He means it when he says he's against higher taxes. You don't find too many Democratic tax-cutters these days. Except maybe John F. Kennedy.

Unlike a lot of liberals, Arnold's worked all his life in the private sector and has had real world experience in running and managing a business. So he knows what the situation is like for businesspeople to deal with taxes and government red tape. Contrast that with Fabian Nunez and Don Perata who have been on the public payroll their entire lives and believe everything begins and ends with government. So they don't care how it affects people who don't work for the government. Something to think about here.

Only a moron or the misguided would consider this son of a Nazi Presidential material. Deport him back to Austria.

The good news is that we will NEVER amend the constitution in my lifetime to allow foreigners the Presidency.

No you fool. They will STAY HOME if a RINO like Giuliani is nominated! Thanks to our GREAT constitution, Ahnuld can never be President so its a moot point.

"(I'm for Newt)"

So am I. I heard him last week on Hannity (I think it was) and he's so logical and down-to-earth. He would make a great president.

I agree. I only want to see the Democrats in CA wind up in the dustbin of history. People think that's crazy. Well, a conservative can dream, right?

It's too bad some folks here have such short-sighted vision.

Austria gave the world Hitler, the illuminati and now aRnold.

Let the worshippers of 'I know what is best for you' bow to their 'leader', regardless who is backing him on a global stage.

Yes they would. I wouldn't vote for Ahnuld. He's a anti-gun, pro-abortion, liberal RINO.
