Despite generally being on the same side, one of Simcox' assistants was a rude jerk because I was a member of the "press."

I think I know exactly who you're talking about. Unfortunately, Chris lets him show up on some news coverage of the CHD group and it doesn't help their image at all. The point that should be made is beyond Chris's entrapment by a federal agent, the CHD has been operating down here with very little problem or incident. They've rescued hundreds of distressed border intruders and turned them over to Border Patrol. They carry personal protection but have never had to use it. All of those who claimed that CHD would lead to a bloodbath or that they would be hunting Mexicans were totally wrong.

Chris managed to aggravate the Mexican Army a couple of times - he even caught on encounter on video. There's a place just across the border called "the corrals" (I could see it from my house with a real good telescope) where drug and human smugglers operate day and night. Members of the Mexican Army have been seen there often helping the smugglers out or keeping the human cargo under control. (I've seen that video too). Chris got right up to the border fence with his video camera and the soldiers in the Mex Army vehical saw him. They drove down to the border fence, got out of the vehicle, pointed their guns at him, and started yelling at him in Spanish. He put the camera down but kept the video rolling. Wow! I'll bet most people here haven't heard about the American citizen who was nearly shot for standing on the U.S. side of the border and filming the nefarious activities of the Mexican Army on the other side.

Chris is a bit foolhardy and some in his organization don't come off very well, but, like I said, they've done relatively well in their up close and personal activities on the border.

Well, I don't agree with the political sentiment of StormFront, but whatever it is or isn't, according to big boards, it is ranked as the 28th largest board in unique hits.

It's at 16 now. I don't really know how valuable this is. For one thing, "Only boards that have included one of big-boards trackers are listed here.". This numbers 117 currently.

For another, the sites that beat it out don't sound terribly impressive.

Think of the poor german and irish immigrants. They had one very important thing going for them....a strong work ethic.

I can't say about any specific ethnic group, but ideally immigrants should have 1) a strong work ethic as you mentioned and 2) an appreciation of the value of education. These are the people we want here.

I believe STUNE falls into the same category as HUGH (huge) and SERIES (serious) a FReeper in the rush to post a witty bit of repartee' or someone who was in all seriousness trying to report a real time incident forgot spell check and a legend was born.

So from now till the end of time, in the FReeper lexicon all BEEBERS will have a STUNE setting.

What you posted is Jim Gilchrist being nice and polite. If he catches anyone in the project promoting racist bs, "stepping over the line" or even so much as attempting to detain a single border busting illegal, SOP is to (and he will see to it personally) summon the Cochise County Sheriff Dept and have the misguided miscreant hauled off AND JAILED.

He is very vocal on this and has stated it as one of the very few SOP that exist for the project. Literally it is ONE strike and you are out. BTW, Jim is a former active duty combat Marine (VN). Care to guess if he "means it?"

;-) I thank Jim Robinson for NOT banning me. I have to agree that this is not the appropriate forum for the discussion. I have thankfully been able to keep my membership here at Freepers, and I thank Jim Robinson for allowing me to vent.

In the meantime I have found new and interesting ways to generate difficulties and resentment for the potential invaders of my community, the latest is quite good but I will respect Mr. Robinson and not share it here.
