I don't believe that he and his wife have stopped loving their daughter.

Sure. Not speaking to her? Throwing her out of the house? Cut her off financially? That just screams love to me.

There's a fine balancing act between simply letting what will be be, sending a message that I will support you through love and encourage you through prayer but your lifestyle cannot be permitted in my home nor can I support it and simply being a cruel individual. It's a tough call.

I also am not sure they stopped loving their daughter.

I am not sure they ever did.

Keep in mind that Keyes was perfectly happy to haave his known to be lesbian daughter delay college and work for him in his election campaign, living in his house.

Keep in mind also that Keyes thinks we all owe him reparations for his ancestors being slaves.

Maya Keyes is an adult. She is in no position to demand housing or college tuition from her parents. If Mr. and Mrs. Keyes find her lifestyle immoral and she refuses to change, then they are not bound to support her. The "tough love" her parents are practicing may be the best thing for her.

To the liberals and homosexuals who support her, Maya Keyes will be a "useful idiot" only as long as Alan Keyes is a public figure. Given her father's political ineptness, as recently evidenced by his ill-fated campaign for the U.S. Senate seat against Barack Osama, it is likely that he will be out of the limelight. She will then be quickly forgotten. Hopefully, Maya Keyes will learn something useful while in college so that she will not be a drain on the public coffers in the future.

I always knew that Keyes was a jackass and this is just additional evidence.

I'm not happy that Obama won a Senate seat, but I think that if Keyes had been elected, he would have done more damage to the GOP than Obama ever will.

Would you call it love if a parent kept giving money to a child who was a drug addict? I call it weakness and enabling the addiction.

Maya Keyes is now a celebrity to the degenerate set. She won't go hungry. She'll become rich and famous, for at least a few years. Once her father is destroyed and she's no longer useful, she'll be cast on the dung-heap by the same set that used her to attack her own father. That's how this work. She's just to young and callow to understand it.

She will someday weep bitter tears for what she does today. Such is the foolishness of youth.

I guess in your world... money = love?

I think you are in the wrong forum.
