The degenerate and mendacious former New York Times columnist Anthony Lewis recently addressed an audience of journalists and accused President Bush of a long list of crimes. For this he received a rousing round of applause. (Symposium addresses legacy of Watergate, University of Texas at Austin, 4 February 2005).
Okay, let’s take a look at the Democratic Party, seeing that Lewis’s adoring media disciples certainly won’t
Drug running is a dirty business: One that no decent person would have a bar of. And yet there are those in the Democratic Party whose loathing for America, lust for power and contempt for the genuine well-being of ordinary Americans has made them knowing accessories to this vile trade.
These people are not just party hacks, they also sit in Congress and the Senate. The same people who assume moral and intellectual superiority over those they sneeringly call conservatives and who sanctimoniously sit in judgment on the Bush administration were linked to a criminal activity that is destroying the lives of innumerable Americans.
Let’s begin with Jorge Cabrera. Never heard of him? I’m not surprised. America’s mainstream media virtually spiked all references to him. Cabrera is a convicted drug runner with connections to the Castro regime. While ‘holidaying’ in Havana in 1995 a Miami-based Cuban-American businesswomen and prominent Democratic fundraiser by the name of Vivian Mannerud approached Cabrera while he was being entertained in the Copacabana.
What an astonishing coincidence that a Cuban-American Democratic fundraiser was easily able to find an American drug dealer in a country whose government runs drugs and who was known to associate with Castro himself. Even more peculiar is why this fundraiser wanted to locate a man known by the FBI to be smuggling cocaine into the US.
Also known but not made public is that Cabrera was cooperating with Castro’s DGI (Direccion General de Inteligencia or the General Directorate of Intelligence). The DGI was formed along the lines of the KGB and was once under the control of KGB General Viktor Simenov. Despite the collapse of the Soviet Union the DGI maintains close links with Russian and Chinese intelligence services.
Curioser and curioser as Alice would have said. The truth is that Mannerud went to Havana with the express purpose of getting a political donation. Cabrera coughed up $US20,000 on condition that he got to meet with Clinton. Mannerud couldn’t guarantee a Clinton meeting but she did promise a dinner invitation with Al Gore.
Now how could a drug running friend of the drug-running Castro with connections to his intelligence service turn down a deal like that? Well, things just got better. Not only did the DGI-connected Cabrera get to dine with the Green Oracle he also got to go to the White House where he had his photo taken with Hillary Clinton.
Fortunately Cabrera is one creep that justice caught up with. He was tried in 1996 and convicted of smuggling three tone of cocaine into the country for which he was fined $US1.5 million dollars and given a 19-year prison sentence. The Democrats reluctantly returned his blood money, claiming that they knew nothing of his criminal activities.
What hasn’t been revealed is who in the Democratic National Committee instructed Mannerud to tap Cabrera and how did she know where to find him.
Dem supporters and Castro’s mates will argue that this is just pure coincidence at best or malicious rumour-mongering at worst. Well try this on for size. In December 1998 Colombian police seized 7.2 metric tons of cocaine valued a $US1.5 billion and which was being shipped to Havana from where it would eventually end up in places like Harlem.
This was just one of the many shipments of cocaine that help fuel Castro’s war against the US while filling his coffers. Nevertheless, 11 months after this episode Clinton ordered that Cuba be removed from the list of major drug-peddling countries.
Not a single member of the Democratic Black Caucus objected, particularly Congressman Rangel. Perhaps the likes of Rangel think cocaine for black kids is alright so long as it comes from Havana. After all, Rangel’s been licking Castro’s bloodstained boots for about 40 years now.
What really makes the situation so dreadful is that Rangel and other black Congressmen were told of Castro’s drug running. Rangel’s response was to blame it on the CIA, even though in 1993 a federal court in Miami indicted Raul Castro, Fidel’s Castro’s brother, for drug trafficking.
And still the repulsive likes of Rangel and the US-hating Barbara Boxer refused to condemn Castro’s activities. Do they hate America so much that they would prefer to see its youth poisoned by cocaine smuggled in by the DGI rather than object? Draw your own conclusions.
Not everyone in Castro’s circle was keen on his drug trafficking. It was reported that General Ochoa, who was very popular among the troops, objected to Castro’s use of cocaine to obtain revenue and wage war against the US, even though it doesn’t bother the Black Caucus.
Fearing Ochoa’s popularity Castro had him arrested for treason and — you guessed it — drug trafficking. (Who said Castro doesn’t have a sense of humour?) In keeping with the Stalinist tradition that Castro and his adoring friends in Washington and Europe love Ochoa was given a show trial where his lawyer pronounced him guilty. (Why waste time with something as stupid as a defence). He was murdered shortly afterwards. Any objections from Rangel or Boxer? Don’t be daft.
So what have we got so far? A Democratic fundraiser who was instructed to deal with a known drug dealer with connections to Cuba’s drug-running regime; Clinton’s insistence on removing Cuba from the list of drug-trafficking countries; members of the Black Caucus who have been informed of Castro’s activities but still support him despite the consequences for many blacks. There is an awful lot of hate here.
I don’t want to blame poor old Fidel for all of the corrupt shenanigans that goes on in the Democratic Party. That would mean ignoring Beijing’s drug-running activities. So while Havana was running drugs, and still is, into the east coast Beijing was running them into the west coast. (By the way, I’m told that Beijing is also probably running them from Panama).
During the 1980s Victor and Linda Huang donated to the Democrats’ California campaigns of Tom Lantos and Dick Swett. Lo and behold, Linda Huang got her self arrested in 1996, along with several others, for trying to smuggle 2,000 AK-47s into the country so that L A’s street gangs could have some new toys to play with.
Dear Linda was also part of a drug smuggling ring that had been organised by Beijing. Did Barbara Boxer complain? How could she do that when she was busy accusing the CIA doing the dirty deed. And what of Senator Dianne Feinstein? She’s so close to the Chinese regime that she’s been nicknamed the Senator for Beijing.
In 1997 a kindly 78-year-old Chinese gentleman was so taken by Clinton’s ability to feel the pain of others that he gave him $US250,000. That little old man is Ho Hung Sun, aka Stanley Ho, a Chinese gangster and leader of the Kung Lok triad. Another generous donor and associate of Ho was a triad gangster called Ng Lapseng.
His sources of income are prostitution, including child prostitution, and drug running. He is also involved in extortion, smuggling illegal immigration, money laundering, loan sharking and whatever else will yield a dishonest buck. Being patriots, however, both Ho and Lapseng are linked to Chinese intelligence.
Now what have we here? More drug running and now gun running, prostitution, including child abuse, and Chinese gangsters. No wonder the Democrats have adopted the motto Whatever it Takes. (What was that about a village, Hillary?)
What needs to be dredged out of this rotting heap is that leading Democrats like Teddy ‘the Toad’ Kennedy, Tom ’the Grub’ Lantos, Charley ’Stepinfetchit’ Rangel, Tom ‘the Weasel’ Daschle (gone but still active), Barbara ‘the Ferret’ Boxer, Dianne ‘the Dip’ Feinstein, Hillary ‘Lucrezia Borgia’ Clinton, and so on, are corrupt beyond redemption.
All of those who now sit in judgment on a God fearing man and his appointees have in one way or another willingly cooperated with evil and in doing so have done evil. They all knew about Castro’s drug running and its destructive consequences and still they did nothing. They all defended corruption. They all lied. And they all lust for power.
How could anyone imagine for a single moment that one could honestly deal with creatures like these. These are now the real Democrats: people without honour, without integrity and without patriotism. No wonder the leftwing Lewis votes for them.
