'WASHINGTON - Sen. John F. Kerry's brash offer to meet privately with former foe President Bush [related, bio] to discuss foreign policy before Bush's meetings abroad next week with key European leaders has apparently fallen on deaf ears at the White House.
``We've offered to have Sen. Kerry (D-Mass.) meet with President Bush to discuss his trip to Iraq, if the White House is interested,'' Kerry spokesman David Wade said yesterday. ``There are many areas where genuine bipartisanship would make a difference in leading our country forward, whether in national security or children's health care.''
The White House declined comment on Kerry's recent overture.
A senior Kerry aide telephoned White House Chief of Staff Andrew H. Card Jr. earlier this month to make the meeting offer, a source confirmed.
But as of last night, Kerry had not received any response from the White House.

Kerry is doing this not to offer genuine help but in the hope that something will go wrong so he can claim it never would have happened had Bush met with him and taken his advice.
Exactly - I don't understand why this is allowed. We have Condi for this - an ambassadors
I think sKerry knows how successful GWB is going to be and wants to get in on it - claiming later, "Well, it was ME who gave him the good advice on how to...)
He's falling into the same unable-to-accept syndrome that he was defeated that Gore has. They were both raised being told that they were going to be president - and they cannot accept that they aren't
The 'junior senator' is credentialed as a traitor. Nothing else.
Better W should talk to Anna Nicole Smith. She is smarter than Traitor John and W would be talking to two humongous boobs instead of just one!
I did a little more research off that and found the website for The National Council for Research on Women that is sponsoring the event.
Here is the program for the Women Who Make a Difference Awards Dinner. She is mentioned twice on it, sans Kerry in her name, so it's not just a matter of an isolated printer's error.
The life of a failed Dem presidential candidate...Kerry has gotten more air time in the last month than in his previous 20 years in the Senate. What a weasel. To think that 48 percent of voters even voted for the guy. Actually, about 10 percent voted for him, and the rest voted against Bush.
If the American people wanted Kerry's input on foreign policy, they would have elected him president. As it is, he's just a washed-up hippie war protester masquerading as the junior senator from Massachusetts. Hard to get more irrelevant than that.
Kerry is so yesterday's news. W is the present, and the future.
Pray for W and Our Freedom Fighting Troops
Sorry kerry, President Bush dosen't confide with the enemy.
It could be that I've been out of the news loop and I'm too lazy to Google, or I might've heard it and not allowed that K name to enter my brain and register. Thanks for the info. :o)
In November he was told he couldn't get in the front door of the White House....now he can't get in the back door....this guy is priceless for comic relief !!!
Gotta think it's going to be fun to watch him campaign against Her royal Hineass Hillary in '08.
Not to mention a complete review of the election results last November with Jimmah Cahter.
At the risk of being repititous, that last picture has 'dork' written all over it. And that pink tie......better not go there.
You were? What'd you discuss? Or did you just miss typing a 't' in your reply to my question about Teresa Heinz-F'n? :o)
GW: "Let him eat static."
LOL
I can understand that! ;o)
We've all heard waaaay too much of and from TWO 'K names' from 'M states'. They both belong in the 'G' bin.
Oh i see.... Kerry is going to tell the President his secret plans that he blabbed on and on about last year.
Thought he retired, to Hanoi.
