McCain: Hillary Would Be Good President
NewsMax.com ^ | Feb. 20, 2005 | Carl Limbacher

Posted on 02/20/2005 8:29:47 AM PST by Carl/NewsMax

Maverick Republican Sen. John McCain said Sunday that his New York colleague, Sen. Hillary Clinton, would do well if she becomes president of the United States.

"I am sure that Sen. Clinton would make a good president," McCain told NBC's "Meet the Press," as both he and Clinton were being interviewed from Baghdad.

While noting that as a Republican, he'll be supporting the GOP nominee in 2008, McCain reiterated, "I have no doubt that Sen. Clinton would make a good president."

Asked whether she thought McCain would make a good president, Sen. Clinton was somewhat less effusive, responding tersely, "Absolutely" - before erupting in her familiar cackle.

Maverick Republican Sen. John McCain said...

Carl my friend, please don't use the word Maverick to describe McCain.

McCain isn't independent or nonconformist. He instead moves to where the power is, the politically correct. He lives for the MSM camera.

McCain is not a maverick. He is a predictable self absorbed political hack.

The "old club" of the senat rules are DEAD. Sometimes I which jumpin jeffords took specter and mclooney with him.

A Maverick? Why? He's pro life and pro gun. He's a backstabber not a Maverick.

Isn't it amazing that Carl breaks out the old MSM tag for McCain, "maverick".

Moooo.

I cannot believe this NON-STORY has gotten 142 post so far.

Why does anybody expect him to say when she's sitting right there next to him?

That's one of the most bland statements he could have made.

Yet another NON-STORY from Newsmax.

Yet ANOTHER good reason McLame lost the nomination to Bush in 2000!!

Squirrel of the Month

John McCain

Stay away from my nuts! After being asked, repeatedly, to make Senator John McCain our squirrel of the month; We, here at the Global Squirrel Network have looked into the matter and decided:

1) He does seem to have the ability to draw people to him . . . as do squirrels.

2) He also possesses the unique ability to make bitter enemies of neighbors . . . Just like squirrels!

3) He has suffered inhumane treatment at the hands of humans, giving him a most personal insight into the lives of everyday squirrels.

4) And finally, he does look like us. For example, the photo, at left, is certainly the face of a squirrel, fiercely protecting his nuts.

Mugging for the cameras is the ONLY reason these senators traveled AT THE SAME TIME as the president. Especially hitlary, and McCain making this statement is only him trying to get in on Hitlarys Iraq "listening" tour.

Almost everyone on the crissie mathews show today was insisting that she always HAS been middle of the road!

Yes that Hillary Care Plan was so middle of the road wasn't it? In the interest of keeping my blood pressure low, I no longer watch Sissy Matthews.

I'll never forget when McCain did a live radio interview 5 years ago on WLS-AM Radio in Chicago, and one of the callers asked him if he wasn't the original "Manchurian Candidiate". I laughed my a$$ off and almost spit my diet coke all over place.

Most of the GOP names are actually to the left of ole Hill; she's maneuvering herself to be the more conservative of the whole bunch.

She can maneuver all she wants, but Hillary is Hillary. Any American voter who does not know her for who she is at this point in time must have been in a coma for the last thirteen years. Thing is, her followers love her regardless of anything she says or does. Her hard core opponents oppose her regardless. That leaves those so-called 'swing-voters' who vote based on boxers-or-briefs or other momentous issues.

I'm with you. I'm much more angry with Chrissy Wallace (Son of Mike) than I am at McPain. For me, that's saying a lot.

I told Miss Slippy about this this morning, and her first response was, "What an unfair question to ask!"

What the heck was McPain supposed to say with Crusty sitting right next to him? "Naw, I think she's a total incompetent??"

We should not repay that debt by letting him be the President or a Senator. He should be home setting on his porch waving at people driving by.

Preferably secured in a straight-jacket.
