Holy Father,

You are the one, true hope of the world and the strength of our lives. You are all that we will ever need, and yet we confess, Lord, that sometimes we find it far easier to trust in other people than to trust in You. Help us to be still and know that You are God and that Your Word does not fail. Your everlasting love is upon us. Accept our praises this day and our humble thanks for Your amazing grace.

Thank You for the endurance You have instilled in our President as he has entered his second term of office Thank You for causing him to stand strong under pressure and to remain steadfast in Your love and in Your teachings. Thank You for causing him to take a stand on behalf of freedom for those who are oppressed---to defend their lives against a torturous despot. Thank You for testing his faith and for causing him to persevere in the face of danger, international opposition, and political pressures.

Now Lord, we ask that You will preserve President Bush as he enters this week of travel throughout Europe. Grant him patience but firm resolve as he meets with the various European leaders. Help him to make wise decisions regarding the continued course of action in the Middle East. Give him wisdom to guide his response to the United Nations, that our participation and allegiance to this group may be redefined where needed. And help him, Lord, to respond with Your love and Your truth no matter where he is. We are confident that You will preserve him from all evil; You will preserve his soul. You will preserve his going out and his coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Father, our troops continue to need Your aid and protection. Give them acute vision, hearing, and discernment as they face down the remaining terrorists. Let no more of our men and women be lost, Lord, and may all be able to return home soon to their families as heroes. Thank You for sustaining them, for helping them to endure the trying days and nights of the war and its aftermath.

Spirit of the living God, please descend upon our nation and its people. Prepare hearts to learn of You. Place within all of us a hunger and thirst for righteousness and a desire to know the Lord, Jesus Christ. Father, we are grateful---so eternally grateful for Your faithfulness. Hear our prayers in the Name of our Savior, the Messiah. Amen.

Our Merciful Father,

We Lift Up Your Name, O Lord our God, as we come before You to Bow at Your Feet. How Gracious You have been to us, our Master! As a Father Who Dearly Loves His children, You Take Care of us, Preserving us, and Keeping us Alive. Our hearts are Full of Your Praise this Day, as we Love You, and Worship His Majesty the King!

We Lift Special Prayers for our brother-President, Pleading that Your Hand of Sovereignty will Guard him during his European Travels, and that Your Dear Presence will Surround him as he Meets with World Leaders. Put Your Grace and Glory on Display through Your servant, Causing these Leaders to Acknowledge Your Magnificent Greatness. May the Sweetness of our Christ Shine Forth from our brother's soul, Drawing many to the Source of his Eternal Salvation.

We Thank You, Precious Jesus, for Your Grace that Preserves our Military, and we Exalt You for the Help You Give them when they Return Home. Please Grant unto them Answers to their Every Need, including Excellent Jobs, Wonderful Marriages, and Perfect Readjustment to Home Life. We Thank You for Your Heart of Mercy toward these Brave men and women, and for every Blessing Flowing from the Hand of a Loving God.

Be Magnified in our Lives, Great King, and Cause us to Bring Forth Much Fruit, to Your Praise. Meet the Needs of every child of Grace who comes Here to Pray, Helping them all to Trust Fully in Thee. We Love You, Sovereign Master, and Pray All Things in Thy Name, and for Thy Glory, amen.

Amen. Lord, it must be lonely at the top, when ever supposed friends secretly run tape recorders and then make them public. I agree with the need for the president's safety as he travels. Much work remains. We are grateful for what has been accomplished, but we must continue to move forward.

The Middle East continues its unstable ways. Grant that success in Iraq will come soon, and that enough price has already been paid to secure a beachhead of democracy there, one that will spread throughout the region.

Whether the issue is the spread of freedom or relief from natural disasters, may the Word of Your truth and love be carried along with the workers. Help our nation, too, to live up to our heritage and our Godly calling in You.

Help each one of us to apprehend that for which we were apprehended, that souls would be saved, lives changed, and Your Body would be edified. All to the glory of Christ.

AMEN FAITH AND AMEN ALL!
GRACE AND BLESSINGS TO ALL BRETHREN!

CHAPTER XVII.
Of The Perseverance of the Saints.
I. They whom God hath accepted in his Beloved, effectually called and sanctified by his Spirit, can neither totally nor finally fall away from the state of grace; but shall certainly persevere therein to the end, and be eternally saved.

II. This perseverance of the saints depends, not upon their own free-will, but upon the immutability of the decree of election, flowing from the free and unchangeable love of God the Father; upon the efficacy of the merit and intercession of Jesus Christ; the abiding of the Spirit and of the seed of God within them; and the nature of the covenant of grace; from all which ariseth also the certainty and infallibility thereof.

III. Nevertheless they may, through the temptations of Satan and of the world, the prevelancy of corruption remaining in them, and the neglect of the means of their perseverance, fall into grievous sins; ad for a time continue therein: whereby they incur God's displeasure, and grieve his Holy Spirit; come to be deprived of some measure of their graces and comforts; have their hearts hardened, and their consciences wounded; hurt and scandalize others, and bring temporal judgments upon theselves.

THE WESTMINSTER CONFESSION!

"Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of
the devil."
- Matthew 4:1

A holy character does not avert temptation-Jesus was tempted. When Satan
tempts us, his sparks fall upon tinder; but in Christ's case, it was like
striking sparks on water; yet the enemy continued his evil work. Now, if
the devil goes on striking when there is no result, how much more will he
do it when he knows what inflammable stuff our hearts are made of. Though
you become greatly sanctified by the Holy Ghost, expect that the great dog
of hell will bark at you still. In the haunts of men we expect to be
tempted, but even seclusion will not guard us from the same trial. Jesus
Christ was led away from human society into the wilderness, and was
tempted of the devil. Solitude has its charms and its benefits, and may be
useful in checking the lust of the eye and the pride of life; but the
devil will follow us into the most lovely retreats. Do not suppose that it
is only the worldly-minded who have dreadful thoughts and blasphemous
temptations, for even spiritual-minded persons endure the same; and in the
holiest position we may suffer the darkest temptation. The utmost
consecration of spirit will not insure you against Satanic temptation.
Christ was consecrated through and through. It was his meat and drink to
do the will of him that sent him: and yet he was tempted! Your hearts may
glow with a seraphic flame of love to Jesus, and yet the devil will try to
bring you down to Laodicean lukewarmness. If you will tell me when God
permits a Christian to lay aside his armour, I will tell you when Satan
has left off temptation.
Like the old knights in war time, we must sleep with helmet and
breastplate buckled on, for the arch-deceiver will seize our first
unguarded hour to make us his prey.
The Lord keep us watchful in all seasons, and give us a final escape from
the jaw of the lion and the paw of the bear.

C.H.SPURGEON!

SOLI DEO GLORIA!

Dear Heavenly Father, grant President Bush your mercy as he travels to Europe. May he find favor in the eyes of the people he speaks to. Protect him from those who would do him harm.

My help comes from the Lord Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121: 2)

No better help could be possible!!
A Prayer for the "leaders" that our President is going to meeting with as well...to put aside their politicized rhetoric and get down to work in securing freedom.
