Should be a fantastic show. It appears to run again at 11pm EST.
Look forward to my fellow Freepers comments on this story.

Am going to do all I can to stay awake until ten, and see what Freepers have to say. I have no television.
Ain't it awful being a redneck farmer that can't stay awake past ten?

When will Hollow-wood start feeling the economic boycott of conservative, middle and working class money? Right now, there are plenty of movies that I simply will not go to because of their "stars" smug, self-righteous, arrogant, condescending, leftist and out right treasonous anti-Americanism. If they don't like me and my beliefs and prinicples, then there's no reason I should give them a cent of my money. I actively dislike them.

"The Passion of the Christ" (search) was one of the top-grossing films of 2004, yet it has been totally ignored by the Golden Globes and doesn't prominently appear in most mainstream critics "Best of 2004" lists either.
I don't understand the relevance. Movies like "Spiderman 2", "Shrek 2", The Matrix movies, Phantom Menace, etc. were all huge hits and didn't get nominations.
There's plenty of evidence of Hollywood's loathing of Christianity. I think this one element is a bit of a canard. Fahrenheit 9-11 didn't get nominated for Globes or Oscars, either.

People who make a living playing roles don't have too much spine of their own.
People who make a living copying other people's behavior don't have too much spine of their own.
People who make a living studying their own image in a camera or in in mirror or on stage don't have too much spine of their own.
They will follow a crowd anywhere. No matter what the crowd is doing, they will follow the crowd.
That is our modern entertainment industry. The entertainment industry includes a new breed of actors----TV News readers. Check any newscast being =broadcast on a channel from anywhere--local or national.
No spine, just following the crowd.

Hollywood is the next to fall into Republican hands.
The tipping point is at hand, folks. Give it another five years, and the smelly lefties will only have the university.
Which is exactly where we want to isolate them.

Just from the first half hour it's complete pandering bilge. One of the people they had on actually claimed that the appearance of films like The Graduate in the late 60s which had previously been confined to the arthouse was a sign of Hollywood's decline. How is arthouses fare getting into the mainstream a bad thing?
The reason there aren't more conservative themed films is that conservatives don't invest in the film industry. It's not a field that lots of us seem to go into.

Gibson just slammed Valenti:
He asks if there is a bias against conservatives.
Valenti says, no, if the person has a sellable idea, Hollywood will back it.
Then Gibson cuts to the Passion scene in which Jesus addresses Judas.
The implication: Hollywood did not back a sellable idea, even when such an idea screamed in Hollywood's face.

Isn't it funny how one can forget about the Oscars, until someone brings it up?
I choose my movies very carefully. I don't mind seeing a movie staring a lib, if that lib expresses his views in a civilized manner. I do not, however, care to see movies with mouthy, soapbox psychopaths who think they are God's gift to humanity. Case in point: I always liked the movie "What's Up, Doc?", starring Blabba Streisand. That was before she started going off the deep end. Now, I couldn't stomach watching the film.
