Yes, I think he's gay. For the most part, however, he has avoided being a gay activist.

The only area in which it may show is his evident hatred of President Bush. Drudge has worked against Bush from the first days that Bush declared for the presidency, and has never hesitated to help spread lying rumors about him. Bush is NOT anti-gay, but he is still a magnet for homosexual hatreds because he won't go along with their whole program.

It's the one thing I like least about Drudge. But he's not a total fanatic. He also continues to publicize the misdeeds of the left. He played a large and vital role in bringing down Dan Rather. It started in FR and the blogs, but Drudge got the word out to many people who wouldn't otherwise have seen it.

I just dislike him on TV. He reminds me - on a personal level - of Geraldo and Bill Maher. I'm sure his fans, his mother, and all his friends, like him and think he's wonderful.

By way of further response, what Matt does on his own time, just like Andrew Sullivan, flavors the way that he reports the news. He made a mountain out of a molehill re: Chris Rock's comment about only gays watching the Academy Awards.
