ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 22 (UPI) -- U.S. citizen Ahmed Omar Abu-Ali was charged in federal court Tuesday with plotting to assassinate President Bush with either a gun or a car bomb.

Abu-Ali was named in a six-count terrorism indictment in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va., upon his return from Saudi Arabia, where he had been held for nearly two years, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported.

He was ordered held without bond and a detention hearing was scheduled for Thursday.

You know this can't be the only one with such plans. We must pray for President Bush.

The President and his family are ALWAYS in extreme danger.

When you pray be sure to keep them in your thoughts.

U.S. citizen Ahmed Omar Abu-Ali ...

What really makes my hair stand on end is that current conventional wisdom and mandatory PC compel me to view these five words as perfectly normal and not noteworthy in any way.

As opposed to an oxymoron, a contradiction in terms, and an insult to every real American Citizen. And I felt that way long before 911.

For those who already know why, no explanation is necessary.
For those who need to ask why, no explanation is possible, without a protracted education in the theory and reality of islam, history, human nature, ethics, philosophy, psychology, sociology and cultural mental illnesses.

Omar Abu Ali, right, and Faten Abu Ali speak out about the charges against their son, Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, 23, a U.S. citizen, who made an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va., on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005. A former Virginia high school valedictorian who had been detained in Saudi Arabia as a suspected terrorist was charged Tuesday with conspiring to assassinate President Bush and with supporting the al-Qaida terrorist network.

it WILL BE a long struggle with those guys...

Only if we ignore the threat and put our heads in the sand. After 9/11 I doubt that will happen for 20 years.

indeed - those who are quick to call for a US withdrawal and the exact detail of the evacuation are simply put traitors to their country (Pete Jennings, the TeeVee host is excepted since he is Canadian, IMHO)

Why? The article doesn't mention his religion. He could be an Episcopalian for all we know.

We never should have let Omar Abu-Ali set foot on American soil again. We should have said to the Saudi's - if you want to show your with us on the war on terror - take care of him (read "off" him).

Now that he's here all the bleeding hearts and terrorist sympathizers in the US, and that number is far too high, will be whining to the press about his treatment.

The important thing is to keep strip-searching 50 yr-old women and 5 yr-old children at airports. It's simply coincidence that Americans are always killed by young, male, islamicists of Middle Eastern descent.

Dumb Kiddie-non-PC joke time

2 kids didn't have any friends

1 said "its because we're not baptised"

The other said "let's get baptised right now!"

It was early evening, kids knocked on church door.

Janitor opened it, kids screamed, "we ain't leavin' till we get baptised!"

Janitor said "sure thing kids" took them to bathroom, dunked their heads in toilet and said "there you go"

After, 1 kid said "Smell that holy water? Didn't realize we were gonna be Pisscopalians"
