"Even after he shot it, that cat was so hopped up "
===
I wonder, if perhaps the cat found some drugs, as in illegal drugs, in the basement and sniffed or ate some, and because of his small body weight relative to humans, it made him totally crazy.
They said it was just a normal, non agressive cat before.
It's either drugs, or something frightened the cat so tremendously, that virtually drove him out of his mind.
A sudden change like that must have a cause.
Yes I think its inhumane to shoot people with a caliber that will barely stop an 8 lbs cat
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil...
The Kitty saw Lucifer.
"Too bad, I have had lots of cats that were a bit aggressive but I never would have sought to blow them away, pretty shoddy episode in how it was handled by all concerned, imo.."
I agree with you. Something happened to that poor cat, that made him that way.
LOL! zoooooooooooooom---meowza!
My kitty cat had the opposite reaction to bleach: he acted like it was catnip. He would roll around and purr if I happened to be cleaning with it or using it some way -- wanted me to rub his head with the bleach smell! On the other hand, he was completely indifferent to actual catnip. Go figure. But, I think this cat was actually possessed. Defecating all over the place? Not the soul of a real cat.
Sounds to me like the cat was bit by something when it was down in the basement. Either that or it got ahold of something poisonous.
She IS getting pretty senile. Any cat that will fall off a monitor 87 times a day and then jump right back up there and look at you like its your fault...
Just get the kids out of the way.
Cats gone Crazy are scary. I remember a neighbor girl who was trying to get their cat out from under a bed, and came out from under the bed screeching and the cat latched on her head. I think her dad killed the cat, but I ran home, freaked, because we had only had dogs.
Geese are mean as hell too. Damn geese mumble mumble
I would kick that SOB for about 40 feet.
It read a Steven King novel and thought it was a user manual.
Your cat is not normal either if bleach=catnip. LOL
Feline of Peace?
Sour Ground
"An autopsy to determine the exact cause of the animals behaviour is not scheduled, however."
Am I the only one that finds this rather bizarre.
===
No, you are not. The only reason for not asking for an autopsy has to be that the family had some illegal drugs in the basement and they knew the cat got into that, which caused his behavior -- and they know exactly why the kitty behaved the way he did.
If anything like this ever happened to any pet or animal I owned, I would pay whatever it takes to get to the bottom of it, and find out what happened.
One day I was home alone with my golden retriever. He suddenly ran for the door. I told him no one was home, then he became vicious. He was barking and biting at the air. I ran across the street and called my neighbor over to help. He just said to stay away from my dog. My dog calmed down and seemed normal again. The next night he started to thrash around again. My dog tried to pet him, thinking he was having a nightmare. The dog took a chunk out of my dad's hand. (at that point my dad was ready to shoot the dog and the poor dog just followed him around, as though he were apologizing) The final diagnosis was lung cancer. He was having siezures where he was not aware of his surroundings. Ironically, a week after my dog was put to sleep we got a call from the city stating that our dog did NOT have rabies. (they needed to do a test, since he bit my dad)
Ok for the record I did nothing to that cat while it was away from its owner to cause it to get scared and spooked like that. And besides nobody saw me do it..... ;-0
Secondly what kind of a pansy a$$ father calls the police to deal with a housecat.......
I wonder if they had used any flea drops on it recently?
