Just simple surgery. They obviously have the tube sutured in. When they removed it last time, they took her to a hospital to do it and then when they were required to RE-INSERT it, they took her back to the hospital.

Hospice Woodside employed some HOSTILE MOTORCYCLE COPS today. They didn't have much to do but man, they were treating the citizens like dirt. Nice motorcycles though.

"Florida judge extended a ruling that prevents Terri Schiavo's husband from removing the feeding tube that is keeping his severely brain damaged wife alive."

Everyone needs to be fed to be kept alive.

"The ruling by Judge George Greer in Clearwater, Florida, allows Terri Schiavo's parents to continue for 48 hours to seek legal remedies to overturn an appellate court order in the case that allowed Michael Schiavo to seek the removal of the tubes."

Isn't it just one tube, inserted just for purposes of providing water and food?

"Michael Schiavo and his wife's parents have been battling since 1994 over whether Terri Schiavo, 41, should be kept alive. Her parents, Robert and Mary Schindler, say their daughter is able to communicate and may improve with therapy."

You see the deception here? In plain English, it should read "Michael Shiavo and his wife's parents have been battling since 1994 over whether Terri Schiavo, 41, [should live]" not "should be kept alive" because obviously food and water is necessary, but that's for everyone. Shouldn't we be asking, why are we even considering denying Terri the most basic human needs? You see how the media helps this pro-death cause, as if Terri's life is immaterial. They're acting careless and reckless. The more people get to see what is happening with Terri, the more they'll know that this is wrong, wrong for Terri, and wrong for society.

Hope they never fall off those motorcycles, wind up in a hospital without a living will and find themselves at the mercy of the court. Maybe they should be a little nicer to "the public."

That's GREAT news FV. May the Governor PLEASE meet with them. I pray that God works a miracle through this Governor and that he is greatly rewarded for his actions, regardless of the objections. He has the right to do this honestly this is what should have happened before. Terri can no longer be allowed to be under the care of Michael Schiavo. He has harmed Terri so much. Terri should be afforded the therapy that the original Court AWARDED THE FUNDS FOR.

we live under laws. We can't just throw them out the window when they get in the way

help us understand your thought processes?

WE can't throw (change or interpret differently or at least give Terri her representation in court - which she has not been allowed)

"can't just throw them out the window when they get in the way."

But we can just throw a human being out the window - i.e. starve them to death - which is a long, painful process, as witnessed to by the gal who came out of a coma after 20 years - they once took her feeding tube away for several days...she testified that she had been able to hear everything all those years, but couldn't talk - and when they deprived her of the feeding tube fore several days - it was excruciating....why not ask why the husband, who could give up his guardianship to the parents - instead is so determined to kill her?

Don't you just detest cops who think they know everything! In some ways, they are about as useful as a one-legged clothespin.

If ex post facto applied in civil matters, cotton1706, then bILLclinton could not have made his 1993 tax hikes retoractive to Jan. 1, 1993, 20 days before he began his presidential "role."

well, Michael Schiavo had two conflicts of interests at first...he would have inherited all that money set aside for Terri's care and rehabilitation....where he swore to the jury that Terri was his life and that he would care for her until he died....he has now spent almost all her money on lawyers to end her life. The other conflict is that he has been living with another woman for years and he has two children with her. Clear Conflict of Interest but he Judge ignores it.

This is pure sadism.

Stringing her distraught family along for another 48 hours until the euthanizers begin starving poor Terri.

It sounds like Greer told them, in effect,
"You've got 48 hours to find a way around my infallible rulings. So get going!"
