If Gov Bush's legal maneuvers fail (and God Bless Them real good!) I would like to see him do what he says. He said he would do every thing that he could do (short of breaking the law). Surely that is not limited to "lawyerly actions".

If those fail, I hope that Governor Bush will consider personally going to the site where Terri is being incarcerated and staying until she is released or until she dies.

Perhaps the publicity could bring some lawyer forward who has another idea but who hasn't heard of the case, yet. Or perhaps the pressure could put pressure on the estranged deranged husband.

I think the Schindler's had lousy legal representation until recently. That's my opinion. But then again, Florida is one hell hole that the devil is having a heck of a good time in. Remind me never to step foot in Florida unless I'm protesting the killing of some innocent person. Sheeeeeesh already!

Early on, the Schindlers didn't realize what sort of person their son-in-law was. Had they refused to sign Michael's guardianship papers from the get-go, things would never have gotten out of hand. But Michael, IIRC, convinced them that a jury would be more likely to award money for their daughter's care if they could avoid any sign of squabbling.

As soon as Terri's family got hold of the bone scan, a mere ten years (!) after it was performed, they have been trying to get the authorities to investigate it. These are the kinds of important things that Michael has withheld from Terri's family. Why didn't he show them this back in 1991? He was busy getting ready to ask for $$ from a jury. They were still on speaking terms as far as the Schindlers knew. It's not the kind of thing you just poo-poo when you see it. But Michael did. Why? Because he "cared so much" about Terri? That's nothing but BS in my opinion.

That crap was spoon-fed by their liberal parents and corrupt NYC schools.

Yes, and it was endorsed by NYC's "Republican" mayor, Michael Bloomberg.

This article says that DCF was there but Greer denied them the opportunity to speak.

" Details of the agency's involvement in the case were not immediately available; Greer denied a DCF attorney an opportunity to speak at the afternoon hearing."

It also says that Greer said he needs more time to consider more medical tests! (Praise God!)

"H said he also needs more time to determine whether Terri Schiavo needs more medical tests to determine if she has greater mental capabilities than previously thought.

I'm not sure, but somebody in FL knows. It was once widely reported here.

God worked on softening Pharaoh's heart, He can soften Greer's (and Michael's).

and knowing that his decision wont go quietly into the night - but that NOW, finally, the whole country is watching...that could tip the balance.

IF he sees that it's a good possibility that the cat scans showing the fractures, and other evidence is no longer going to be swept under the rug, he well may consider to save his own neck and do the right thing....

trust God, He knows

"This article says that DCF was there but Greer denied them the opportunity to speak."

I think DCF caught Greer off guard big time. IMO, Greer is trying to maintain control of his courtroom but, he sadly for him, he has no control over the internet.

Breaking news at my tag line.

I think every nurse and hospital attendant who's ever taken care of Terri should be subpoened by Judge Greer or Atty. Gibb to testify. Why haven't they been? Imagine what they've witnessed, and the books of first-hand testimony they have. Prayers for Terri!!

If those fail, I hope that Governor Bush will consider personally going to the site where Terri is being incarcerated and staying until she is released or until she dies.

He should also state publicly many of the indisputable things Michael has done, said, or said that he's done.

I would expect that the majority of people who would favor Michael's "pulling the plug" don't know...

  1. Michael has promised himself to another woman, with whom he has already moved in and started a family.
  2. A jury awarded Terri $750,000 for therapy, almost none of which has been spent for that purpose.
  3. Michael melted down his wife's jewelry and killed his wife's cats within a year of winning the malpractice award, if not before.
  4. Many doctors who have seen Terri, either in person or on video, have testified or affirmed under oath that there is no way she meets the legal definition of PVS.
  5. [fact-check me on this]The only doctors who have testified that Terri is PVS are associated with the Hemlock society.
  6. Terri's lawyer makes a habit of having people starved to death, and has even written a book about it.
  7. Terri's parents have filed a guardianship challenge in 2002, which Judge Greer has to date refused to hear.
  8. Judge Greer has allowed Michael to miss two scheduled depositions, without rescheduling them and without holding him in contempt.
  9. Judge Greer has never visited Terri Schiavo in person.
  10. Judge Greer has refused to allow a direct challege to Michael's guardianship authority on the basis that such challenges could only be filed by people with no other remedy available, and that since Terri's parents had the right to file a guardianship challenge, they didn't qualify.
  11. A feeding tube is not an external device to which a patient must remain confined and connected. It is nothing more than a second mouth.
  12. Michael, Felos, and Greer have refused to allow any testing to see if Terri could take food or fluids by mouth, despite the fact that when she was allowed to do so she was capable.
I could go on, but all of the above [except maybe #5, which could be checked] would be matters of public record. I doubt that very many people who knew these facts would believe Michael to be a credible witness as to his wife's wishes, or Judge Greer to be an impartial finder of fact.

Re: "I want to make sure that we have confirmation of the DCF involvement before I ping the list."

DCF is involved. Confirmation can be found here:

Quote: "The Florida Department of Children & Families moved to intervene in the case Wednesday, hours after Gov. Jeb Bush told reporters he was seeking a way to keep Terri Schiavo alive."

Exactly, and we'll never know from him about his private suffering, as we'll never know the pain he deals with regarding his children .. his daughter was just arrested for very violent treatment of some cops .. so, I do believe SO strongly in karma .. it all comes back, in some way, on evil people... and that pain is typically hidden from others due to pride and ego.

Let's pray that the Lord is softening Greer's heart.

Amen, that'd be the only reason he'd reverse himself at this point I think.

I don't know if I'd call it 'softening of heart' or 'enlightened self interest', but I think Judge Greer is probably starting to doubt whether killing Terri would allow him to escape punishment for his past misdeeds.

He may be figuring that if he succeeds in having her killed, he'll run a serious risk of evidence coming out that would lead to prosecution for murder. By contrast, if he makes no further effort to have Terri starved, he may manage to escape an attempted murder rap and merely face trial for mishandling of the trust fund.

Another possibility: perhaps he's packing a suitcase and won't be anywhere to be found Friday.

But you forget, that all the forces of our lives CANNOT be controlled, no matter how sociopathic the individual... they may believe they are in complete control, but eventually there's always a "crack in the glass" and reality and real life prove what folly that perversion of ego to be.

I and others have told them during our phone calls. Yet the next time you call they say the same thing. "We are doing everything that's legally possible." When you mention the Governor can take Terri under Protective Custody they say uh-huh and ask you for your name and phone number and promise to pass along the message.

This time I asked also them to support Bill 701 introduced by Dennis Baxley that would OUTLAW deyhydration and STARVATION as a method of euthanasia. Many of the aides are not aware of it and claim the Representatives aren't either.

Representative Gelber's aide told me that Gelber did not support or vote for Terri's law and probably would not vote for Bill 701. I told her he would lose votes next time 'round then. She said that was my opinion and I told her there are many elderly voters in Florida and it is a fact that he will lose votes over this. I know voters who will no longer support him for his votes on these kind of issues.

The aide of another representative, very sympathetic toward Terri's case stated that if Bill 701 is ipso facto, it will be found UNCONSTITUTIONAL. I reminded her it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL to starve someone to death.

Feeding tubes are not extraordinary means.

Let's not forget that voters are now energized, empowered and pro-active. It's not like the old days. Tom Daschle thought he'd be there as long as HE wanted, too. I'm assuming Judge Greer stands for election .. am I correct?
