Any and all weapons bans are not good. Regardless what they are, they should be fought in a free Nation.

The reason why I say this is this is exactly what these politicians want to do is nip and pick at little things so we roll over and let it happen. Bit by bit and piece by piece.

Plus I really don’t want to see anyone’s 8,000 (average) dollar investment/hobby turned into a pretzel or in the hands of some person that takes it for themselves where they ever too turn it in.

Which by the way should NEVER HAPPEN.

It's too bad Mark Alan Wilson, 52, late of Tyler Texas, did not have a .50 BMG in his car instead of a handgun.

I heard nothing about the bystander saving the kid's life, until your comment prompted me to google. Check the first source that I found, the CBC. Wilson's intervention is probably the reason the MSM isn't raising hell about a new AWB. It's another example for concealed carry!

Gunman kills ex-wife, bystander in Texas shooting spree; four wounded

Authorities credited the bystander who died, Mark Alan Wilson, 52, with saving the son's life.

Wilson, a gun enthusiast who had a concealed weapons permit, intervened after Arroyo started shooting, witnesses said. Swindle said Wilson shot at Arroyo several times but his rounds didn't penetrate the body armour.

"It is simply hard to imagine how anyone could be against preventing .50-caliber sniper rifles from falling into the wrong hands," Mannard said

Except when he would define my and your hands to be the "wrong hands". The law would define the "wrong hands" as those of every peaceable citizen.
