The Bush Tapes (Secret Tapes Say Bush Critics Smoked Wead)

What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul? The words should be familiar to Doug Wead, who secretly taped private conversations with George W. Bush for two years and has now released some of them. Wead is an ordained Assemblies of God minister, the kind of man with whom many people would feel comfortable sharing intimate, personal details, confident that he would not share them with others, least of all for fame or fortune.

====================================================================

Secret Tapes Say Bush Critics Smoked Wead

The New York Times, still reeling from the 'JEFF GANNON STORY', a staggering and riveting tale of how a reporter in Washington was gay (and Bush did nothing to stop him), now says it finally has The Goods on Bush it's been waiting for, 'goods' damaging enough to deny him a third term. In a series of secretly recorded tapes, Bush, who didn't know he was being taped, is caught making very unguarded comments, such as admitting involvement in Christianity, including prayer and church-going. Bush is also caught saying he wasn't a saint 30 years ago, isn't fond of the press, nor of 'kicking gays'. (Dan Rather says that, if true, he'd like to break this story.)

The press, which is fond of kicking Bush, describes Doug Wead, the guy who secretly taped then governor Bush who was weighing a run for President, as Bush's 'trusted Christian friend'. Wead taped 9 hours of private conversations with Bush, without his consent, then leaked it to the New York Times, as all trusted Christian friends do. Now, compare this kindly gesture to that of 'back-stabber' Linda Tripp, who "betrayed" her good friend Monica who wanted Linda to lie under oath, as all good friends want. Showing that bad blood couldn't possibly be the motive, Wead worked for Bush's father. That's right, he worked for Bush's father -- until he got fired after complaining in a letter that gays were present at a bill-signing ceremony. And, during the 2000 campaign, loyal friend Wead loyally ran to the Washington Post to bad-mouth Bush top adviser, Karl Rove, saying Rove didn't trust him. (Someone not trusting Wead -- I can't imagine it.)

For the record, Wead says he never wanted the tapes made public, which is why he gave them to reporters and wrote a book, then appeared on 'Good Morning America' and CNN. No better way to keep your book and name under wraps than to appear on shows nobody watches. The book was released just after the new year, with sales holding steady -- right behind, How to Watch Paint Dry. Wead's book is about the parents of presidents, reaching all the way back to George Washington's, though Wead was not able to secretly tape George Washington. Wead denies being a scumbag trying to cash in, saying history made him do it. And Simon & Schuster. And he did it only in states where it's legal. And that he lost a million bucks by waiting until after the elections to be a scumbag. And, despite the publicity, his phone doesn't ring anymore. All because he sold his soul to the Devil (I should say, The New York Times.)

But are the tapes real? The White House does not dispute their authenticity. (And the Times confirmed it with an audio expert highly recommended by CBS.) John Kerry is waiting for a French translation.

In one juicy excerpt, reluctantly aired by every cable and broadcast outlet over a thousand times, Bush drops this political bombshell: "I want to be President, I want to lead." I collapsed on my fainting couch. In another excerpt, we learn how sneaky this guy Bush is. He's heard telling Wead what he'd like to tell Christian groups, which is what he later tells Christian groups, the trickster. The tapes show Bush's pattern of saying one thing privately, then saying the same thing publicly. On camera, Bush comes across as firm, but off camera Bush comes across as . . . firm. He also comes across as a man of deeply-rooted faith, integrity, humility and other bedrock values -- proving he's no better than Ronald Reagan. "I have a great wife," Bush tells Wead in one recorded exchange, showing Bush out of step with 'swing' voters. "And I read the Bible daily. The Bible is pretty good about keeping your ego in check." Regarding media rumors of past drug use, Bush, the first President in history to smell like a rose after release of secret tapes, told Wead that "rather than saying no -- I think it's time for someone to draw the line and look people in the eye and say, you know, 'I'm not going to participate in ugly rumors about me'" -- again, exactly what this trickster said publicly! But then came a major blow, the so-called 'Smoking Gun' tape, in which Bush reveals, "I'm a sinner."

To those still cynical about his motives, Wead notes that had he intended political harm, he'd have released the tapes before the elections -- and who could argue with that? Knowing what we know, unloading these tapes in October would have cost Kerry even Massachusetts.

So, while Democrats investigate Jeff Gannon's sex life and probe Larry Summer's tongue and look into the Rove-Gannon 'connection' and the Rove-Rathergate 'connection' and the Rove-Diebold 'connection' and the Rove-Bird Flu 'connection', all we have at the end of the day is this: Bush is 'outed' as a man of integrity by secret tapes which confirm that Bush is the Real Deal, a true grown up, a straight-shooter, a man who learns from mistakes and knows how to move on. In short, Liberals got taken to the cleaners -- again. Next up: Maurice Hinchey demands probe into Rove-Wead 'connection!'.

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

He should change his name to "Dick Wead."

Best column of yours I've ever read, and I have read a few. I got confused by the header and thought I was reading Linda Chavez. Man, I thought, she's really funny. Anyway, great job. I really enjoyed it. (that's MY two cents.)

Judas Weasel Wead works very well.

As a so called Christian, Judas Wead will understand the label of of Judas during Lent.

As an ordained Assembly of God minister, I wonder if all the hair mousse damaged Judas' Wead's brain.

The not so secret Hanoi Kerry tapes

John Kerry is either a "war hero" or a "war criminal"

Can't have it both ways.

John Kerry and War Crimes in Vietnam

He was in command of a Swift Boat
and ordered his men to do these things.
Listen to this 1971 audio clip in Kerry's own words.

LONG BEFORE THE '04 Election

Listen Here

http://www.streamload.com/jmstein77/Kerry2.mp3

John Kerry went before the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations in 1971
to accuse the United States military
of committing massive numbers of war crimes in Vietnam.

So my question is did Kerry lie about his "heroism" or the "atrocities" that he took part in?

Did he lie to his superiors in Dec 68 - March 69 to obtain his medals or did he lie in 1971?

And if he didn't lie then why didn't he report the crimes that he saw?

After all he was in command of a Swift Boat, not just a crew member following orders.
