Don't get me wrong. I hope they have the guy.

According to Fox the police have announced a news conference for 10am and they've named it a "BTK" conference.

The FBI is also involved so maybe they're confident.

He is one of the town's dog catchers...

Ah-Ha! - this is straight from his profile, If they find a guitar it must be him.

- He was worked at jobs that are below his intelligence level, which is above average. He would always take a safe course at work and do his best to be admired by his superiors, much as he worked at being a “parent pleaser” in his youth.

- He probably plays a stringed instrument, like a guitar, but not particularly well. This would have been of interest to him in his twenties but probably not long after that.

Police Question 'Person Of Interest' In BTK Serial Killer Case

FBI Agents Converge On Park City Home

POSTED: 4:54 pm CST February 25, 2005

UPDATED: 5:56 pm CST February 25, 2005

WICHITA, Kan. -- Police have received a possible break in the BTK serial killer investigation.

KMBC's Peggy Breit reported that a man was questioned Friday, although Wichita police are not calling him a suspect, only a "person of interest."

Police and FBI agents converged on the home of a 59-year-old suburban Wichita man Friday morning. The man being questioned is a city inspector in Park City, which is seven miles north of Wichita.

BTK stands for bind, torture and kill. It's a nickname the killer gave himself. BTK has been linked to eight unsolved murders between 1974 and 1986

The case resurfaced in recent months when police and media outlets received notes purportedly from the killer.

One source told KMBC that DNA testing led investigators to question the Park City man.

Wichita police said they will hold a news conference at 10 a.m. Saturday to make an announcement about the BTK case.

Mayor announces BTK news conference

Updated 6:15 p.m.

Wichita Mayor Carlos Mayans announced this afternoon that a news conference concerning the BTK investigation will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday.

District Attorney Nola Tedesco Foulston and Chief of Police Norman Williams will be there.

The announcements followed an afternoon of police activity in Park City.

A Wichita Police bomb unit truck, two SWAT trucks, FBI and ATF officers and other law enforcement were deployed in Park City near the intersection of I-135 and 61st Street North.

The activity has been centered on a residential area north of the fast-food restaurants and other businesses that line 61st street.

Neighbors said law enforcement vehicles began appearing about 11 a.m., a bomb crew arrived about 11:30 a.m., and the area was filled with officers by noon.

A woman on the block says one of her neighbors was taken away by officers early in the day.

There was no explosive, police confirmed, and at 6 p.m., the bomb squad truck pulled out.

In downtown Wichita this afternoon and evening, several uniformed officers have been standing outside Wichita City Hall, including on the top of the parking garage adjacent to the building, which houses the Police Department.

Dunno, but if his kids are older (which they would have to be as I think they put this guy in his sixties), it's pretty cheap to live in Park City. Most of the houses are around $60 or 70,000.00.

And if I was stuck in the wilderness with a conservative and a liberal and I was starving, I'd sure eat the lib first.tee hee

Thanks for all your efforts...I want to toss out something..and first, up front, I have NO, ZERO, NADA, ZILCH knowledge of criminal profiling, but I did sleep through a freshman psychology course in 1964.....if, for whatever reason, he wants to get caught, the behavior of this guy, a master manipulator.. would suggest that he would first turn himself in at a TV station..give them a whole bunch of interviews....then arrange to have them document his surrender to the police...
