Not many actors can be characterized as "Genuine" but the duke can.. No matter the venue.. honest and genuine.. very few actors I could/would say that about... John Wayne is one..
Maybe Tom Selleck too.. as I thinking right now..

John Wayne is one..I don't think it would be a stretch to add Clint Eastwood in among the list of genuine actors. When I was younger, I never really was into the Western genre. Recently as 2 years ago, I saw the complete series of spaghetti westerns Clint become famous for.

Not many actors can be characterized as "Genuine" but the duke can.. Another thing you have to appreciate is that he appeared as himself on I Love Lucy. And that was when he was at nearly the top of his career!
He clearly enjoyed himself in that 3-part episode and proved he wasn't too self-important for the small screen.
Back then, that was a very big deal.
