i feel so sorry for Laci's mother..God bless her
chip off the old block
by the way...does anyone know what happens to the house ?
California values at their best.
Don't know about others here, but racing over to my murdering son's home to fetch a valuable ironing board would not be high on my priority list.

From the article: Laci Peterson's estate owns at least half of the home. Scott Peterson and his parents own the rest. The home will be listed for sale in the next couple of weeks, according to Rocha's attorney, Adam Stewart.
It is a shame and frankly I do not consider his Mom a chip off the old block! They both are parents. One at the loss of a daughter and grandchild. The other the same and a son in prison. To say one hurts more than the other seems well sad.
I had heard the other day that Allred is representing a Peterson family member who has written another tell all of Scott and as usual Gloria says her story needs to be told.
Ahem, NO the all mighty buck is what is driving this family member.
That is because you have a shred of human dignity. Not everyone has this ... they don't even realize that they should be cowering in shame.
I'll say .. what a grave-digger Mrs. Peterson is. If she had any decency, after taking Scott's personal effects, she would've left with a shred of dignity.

Don't think that's the point. The house is being put up for sale.
So what is the murderer's mother going to do - have a garage sale with Laci's household goods? What tawdry behavior.
Didn't they take out a mortgage on their house to pay for Scott's high $$ lawyer? Look for Laci's things to show up on E-Bay.

FYI.
You're hung up about California. This isn't about California ... it can happen anywhere. BTK Killer caught in Witchita today.
So Jackie will be posting on eBay shortly? Words fail.
Rocha's attorney, Adam Stewart, said Rocha telephoned him from the house and told him about the argument with Jackie Peterson and her son. "I advised her to calm down and leave immediately," he said. "It could have been a more explosive situation." Stewart said he was surprised the Petersons showed up Saturday. He said he thought he had a commitment from one of Scott Peterson's lawyers to honor timelines to clear remaining items from the house. "But Jackie Peterson took matters into her own hands to move things out. I guess our timeline wasn't acceptable to Jackie Peterson," Stewart said. He said Rocha went to the house Saturday after someone told her the Petersons were there. Stewart said he talked to the police and requested that officers monitor what was going on. Stewart said no one but the Petersons and Rochas have a right to be on the property. He said someone with the Petersons "broke the locks on the house" so they could get inside. Laci Peterson's estate owns at least 50 percent of the home, and Scott Peterson and his parents own the rest, Stewart said. He said the home will be listed for sale in the next couple of weeks. Police said there were no major problems. "We were called out here to keep the peace, and we stood by while they (Peterson family) loaded the truck and then left," Letsinger said. Several times, Jackie Peterson, without the oxygen tank she usually carries, brought boxes out of the house and to the truck. John Peterson said the Rocha family already had removed electronic equipment, including a television and computer. Stewart said the Rochas have taken only what they're legally entitled to and what was important to them as far as Laci Peterson was concerned. John Peterson declined to say where the furniture and other items were being taken. Just before getting into the rental truck's passenger's seat, Jackie Peterson scoffed at members of the media gathered outside the house, "Is this entertainment in Modesto on a Saturday?" she asked. Scott Peterson is scheduled to be formally sentenced March 16. Mark Geragos, his Los Angeles-based attorney, filed a motion for a new trial. Judge Alfred Delucchi has sealed the motion and it will remain under wraps until prosecutors submit their response March 9.
Now, now....let's not turn into a dickhead here; here's hoping you know better than such.
There is no way he can PROFIT from her death; his part will go to Laci, therefore to her parents, as next of kin.
The tacky Petersons are stealing things that they have no right to.
Without letting the Rochas go through Laci's things.
