A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 3.2.05

President Bush had some strong words to Syria to get out of Lebanon, noted here.

He and Vice President Cheney welcomed and congratulated the World Series Cham-peens, the Boston Red Sox, who ended a drought of Biblical proportions with their first World Series win in 86 years. With Speaker Hastert and Senator Stevens, he presented the Congressional Gold Medal to Jackie Robinson's widow, Rachel Robinson, in the name of her husband.

In Arnold, Maryland, the president participated in a job training and education dialogue, linked here.

Secretary of State Condi Rice attended a one-day London meeting, info here, to discuss Iran's nuclear life, the Palestinians, etc. She put off a planned trip to Canada next month, a move seen as a rebuff over Canada's rebuff of the North American missile shield.

Senator Kerry positioned himself obscenely close to the president at Bush's remarks honoring Jackie Robinson.

Other than that crude interruption, enjoy today's visit to Sanity Island.

I have noticed quite a few times over the last few months that GWB has included him in some of the photo events such as the Turkey pardoning; I suppose it depends on what his schedule is. Also today was the Red Sox and the VP does enjoy watching sport. Here is a photo from the 2000 campaign I posted on yesterday's dose earlier today which received rave reviews so for those who have not seen it here it is. The fan follows because of earlier comments LOL.

Cheney and Dubya in the same place. That's kinda rare, isn't it?

Hi ilovew. Too rare for my taste!

Nope :( Not yet. I'm surprising myself with how well I'm taking this, though.

It's color washing; I'm diluting the color with the glaze. I'll just paint it very lightly, so you can still see the brushstrokes. It's really subtle but (hopefully!) will turn out neat. The base color--full strenght--is a turquoise/aquamarine, and the glaze has a little more blue in it. The base color will show thru, with the shiny/light/transluscent glaze on top.The names of the colors are something like "Endless Ocean" and "Paradise Oasis" or something like that . . . I just couldn't resist!

Thank you very, very much. It's so peaceful out there, both in and out of our house, I'm sure we'll just love it! I can sit in my whirlpool bath and out of both windows, see a pasture full of cows!

I suppose real reason they are not seen that often together outside the Whitehouse apart from events such as the celebrations/ceremonies surrounding the inauguration is security in a post 9/11 world. I think I am correct in that apart from being able to cover more ground it was also stated during the election campaign that for security reasons they did not appear together.

It's difficult to type when holding one's nose.

The turqoise / aquamarine colors sound delightful.

You may need to hang a life preserver on the backside of the door, the effect could be so real!
