We don't get Mark Levin on the West Coast! Or I've never found him.

I think Mark is exclusive to WABC in NYC. You can get him online here. That would be 3-5pm Pacific time.

Neither are Savage, Boortz, or O'Reilly. Go figure.

Neil Boortz is quite conservative.

I've listened to both Savage and Levin and I think Levin is the best. He's hilarious - especially when he does the Maurice Levin segments. The sooner Levin becomes nationally syndicated, the better talk radio will be. Besides, do you really think Savage is going to say something good about his competition?

It's just a matter of taste. As for Savage, he is an odd one, no question about it.

How can you not include Bob Grant? Him and Limbaugh are the 2 best.

I wasn't trying to list all the hosts in my initial post, just some of them. I was hoping that people like you would fill in the blanks. And you did. :)

Rush = The best. No one even close.

Laura Ingrahm = Very funny. But lately she's started to bore me. Her impression of Hildabeast is spot-on.

Hannity = A lightweight to political junkies like us, but he's an outstanding Republican foot solider and appeals to the idiots on the Right. I'll take their votes.

Medved = Interesting but a little boring.

Gallager = An embarrassment...I can't believe FOX uses him.

Glen Beck = Ehh...OK, I guess.

Scarborough = I like him. Maybe just because he's something new...We'll see.

O'Reilly = A blowhard.

Savage = A bigot and an embarrassment to conservatives. He's our Michael Moore. He might even be a closet liberal putting on a show just to make some money. I work under the assumption that only bigots like him.

Thanks! 3-5 p.m. here -- often in my car. I rarely get compy time then due to KIDS. But one of these days I will. Still need to buy his book.

Mark Levin has some of the most brilliant monologues and riffs on talk radio. I particularly enjoy when he takes a complicated concept and patiently explains it, starting with basics everyone can understand, and developing a progression that extends the ideas to a logical conclusion.

Levin is an excellent teacher. Even though I am often familiar with what he is talking about, I learn from his skill in pedagogy and persuasion. I also find that he rarely makes the mistakes I hear other beloved talk show hosts make in misunderstanding news he hears. Basically, he always "gets it."

One example that is quite memorable was his riff describing all the potential domestic sources of energy and how absolutely none of them are acceptible to enviro-whackos and libs. Not only no nuclear power, ANWR, off-shore drilling, but not even windmills. Then he describes the real agenda, the true motivation behind a seemingly unconnected series of events and activities.

There are many other examples. While Levin's new book is certainly superb, I wish he would put together a collection of transcripts of his best monologues -- for structure, style, and effectiveness, they are timeless.

Mark Levin has been posting as "holdonnow" on FR for many years.

Spartacus has been posting as "Lazamataz" on FR for many years.

I would have to agree about Gallagher...when I listen to the Mike Gallagher show, I wonder if Mike has a brain in his head at all. He says the most idiotic things.

Does anyone know where I can get Neal Boortz on the internet? I'm in Chicago and I don't think he comes in here.
