I have enjoyed watching the Left contort itself by trying to establish what kinds of questions a "real" (I think they mean legitimate) reporter should ask.

The Left are so accustomed to being pitched softballs, that when the other team comes up to bat, they cry foul before the first throw.

You're 100% spot on. The leftists are so used to choosing who gets into their little 'reporter club', they take umbrage when some 'right-wing interloper' invades their space.

And I wasn't trying to be a smart-@$$. The question of what is a 'real' reporter in 2005 is legit IMO. By all reasonable standards Gannon was a 'real' reporter as he 'worked' for Talon News. Just because Talon News was new, small and on the net is irrelevant.
