The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

U.S. works 'day and night' to rein in al-Qaida
Full Story

WASHINGTON - Prompted by new intelligence indicating Osama bin Laden reached out to the most feared terrorist in Iraq, President Bush charged Thursday that "al-Qaida still hopes to attack us on our own soil."

"Recently, we learned that Osama bin Laden has urged the terrorist Zarqawi to form a group to conduct attacks outside Iraq, including here in the United States," Bush said at the swearing-in of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff.

The president vowed, "We're working every day and night to dismantle (bin Laden's) network and to bring him to justice."

Nuke development, I think Skeggs- or at least testing. Something about aged ships there being refitted with new equipment. Definitely a nuclear connection. Jihadi's also referred to "Severnaya Project" about a year ago, implying acquisition of nuclear materials.

Here it is:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1178024/posts?page=341#341

Includes the quote

"The Severnaya materials complete and now with their minders. Everyone is on schedule. Tahiya will begin the dance that burns the head of the serpent at the prescribed time."

(The dancer I referred to in an earlier post was called Tahiya, not Severnaya).

Hello KingOfHearts.

Interesting links as always.

I hope you're enjoying your Sunday as much as I am.

We went to church.
Today's sermon was really insightful -- all about what
you really are inside -- and the inside should match your
outside -- the public self. Of course, it was more detailed
than my simple summary.

Then we took a very long drive.
It was beautiful.

After that we had a leisurely lunch and another long drive.

What a wonderful day. (THANK YOU JESUS! Amen.)

Ian Great job as always thanks much.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have a vague memory that the word 'Severyna' was associated with a belly dancer! The word came up in jihadi messages, and the belly dancer link resulted from it being googled by TMers trying to decode it.
Could have been around the time frame when the Las Vegas hotels were being discussed here: also do you remember that website with all the pictures that was supposed to be a method of communication between the terrs?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Granny this is up your alley do you remember anything about this? It is a fog in my brain.

"Missing Elkhart city radio put to mischievous use"

March 6, 2005

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Elkhart -- At least one of the city's missing radios has turned up -- on police airwaves, no less.

At different times of the day, unwelcome guests have visited the frequency set aside for police and have begun to babble, play music or pretend to be police officers. They're also voicing threats and profanities, not to mention tying up a channel reserved for emergency personnel."

Militants Scour Europe for Iraq Fighters

From AP

Islamic terror groups are becoming increasingly active in Germany and coordinating with militants across Europe to recruit fighters to join the insurgency in Iraq, equipping them with fake passports, money and medical supplies, security officials say.

The word Eurabia immediately leaps to mind.

Many in Germany's Islamic communities have shown sympathy for Muslims fighting jihad, or holy war, in places like Chechnya or Bosnia, but authorities say a growing number of sympathizers are taking an active role themselves since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.

I DO wish you had included the little piece of info that the author of this hogwash was our old pal EOM. Nothing that spews from his vile soul (damned to the lake of fire) is worthy of a second glance. I think my fellow TM'ers will agree.

"Severyna" means northern IIRC and it was surfacing around the same time as the bellydancer term (taqquiya or some such word... reflecting deception as a modus operandi?)

Severyna was connected with an area within the Russian artic that had some secret operations that might be weather and/or seismic related. There also was a river of that name in Russia and a river area in Canada not far from Thunder Bay that had this name too. Also, there were a number of newstories of radioactive materials being stolen from some of the Russian lighthouses up in this area.

Chill out.

" ...a new counterintelligence strategy that calls for "attacking" foreign spy services and the spy components of terrorist groups before they can strike, a senior U.S. intelligence official said yesterday."

Foreign spy services points clearly to state entities. Wonder which will surface first (aside from Syria & Iran which are given.)I'm also wondering if the ill fated Italian intelligence bringing the Italian journalist to the airport might have been a counterintelligence suicide mission for another state or entity.
