WalMart only bought $15 billion from China out of $198 billion total last year. But don't let the facts get in the way of your emotions, or your poor eyesight. There are over 6 million companies in the U.S. That's >6,000,000 for those of us with poor eyesight. Walmart, one company (that's .0000001%), accounted for 7.5% of the purchases. Come now FRiend, who's emotional?

Well, that site is not necessarily the source of many of those pictures, nor do they claim to be. They are all over the net.
The critical thing that I am trying to get across is the analysis. The pictures support that analysis for sure, and if I knew who for sure the actual source was, I would happily credit them.
In the mean time, as you state, and as I agree, I believe it is acdeptable fair use of what to me is mostly an unknown source as regards the pics.

I dont think it really matters where the pictures come from. If China passed its anti-sessation law (no news on that yet but China's National People's Congress was supposed to pass it or reject it today), it will not matter much longer.

Thanks for the update Jeff!

WalMart made total purchases last year of $198 billion. WalMart bought from China only $15 billion, 7.5% of WalMart's total. That means when you said "trying to find something in Walmart NOT from China is worse than looking for a needle in a haystack." you were being emotional, not factual.

You are welcome...glad to do it. It bears significant scrutiny and watching and I am glad to see our government getting on that bandwagon.

Do you see the word "maybe" in the sentence"? That means the website is quoting from unconfirmed rumours.
I've read it somewhere else(I think it's on Kanwa) that the PAR on 052C is developed indigenously by China. Unfortunately I am not being able to locate that particular article now. So I will ask sinodefence to clarify its statement.

And seeing as one of our carrier captains allowed himself to be buzzed by Russian fighters unnoticed and unmolested...THAT makes me worry about our defensive balls. PC will get ya' killed in short order out there.

That means when you said "trying to find something in Walmart NOT from China is worse than looking for a needle in a haystack." you were being emotional, not factual. From ChinaDaily:
The world's largest retailer, Wal-Mart Stores Inc, says its inventory of stock produced in China is expected to hit US$18 billion this year, keeping the annual growth rate of over 20 per cent consistent over two years.
"We expect our procurement stock from China to continue to grow at a similar rate in line with Wal-Mart's growth worldwide, if not faster," said Lee Scott, the president and CEO (chief executive officer) of Wal-Mart.
Last year, the firm bought US$15 billion products from China, half from direct purchasing, the other from the firm's suppliers in China.
So far, more than 70 per cent of the commodities sold in Wal-Mart are made in China.
The rest of the article can be read here:

I will agree 'needle in a haystack' is exaggeration. Will you agree that 'over 70%' is extreme?

The reality is that even if it says MADE in Malaysia or Japan, the PARTS for such products could be made in China.

WalMart bought over $198 billion total. I'm sure if you looked you could find items that China provided 100%. Total goods at WalMart only 7.5%.

I so much agree with you Jeff. Red China is NOT America's friend NOR should they be treated as one. Trading with china should be halted. Frankly RUSSIA is NOT a friend either. I found out recently that during the time that Putin and President Bush were putting on the buddy buddy stay at the Ranch routine, Putin was also having meetings with some of the Arab enemies such as Syria and even Arafat. And then thanks to Clinton, China's defense capabilities were enhanced and jumped ahead years before they ever could have on their own. Thanks to Clinton, China received the technology to arm their warheads with "whatever"!! A HUGE threat is sailing along under the waters right now.
