Is Bush Right? [Euro's, Arabs ponder... American Democrats dumbfounded]
Washington Post ^ | March 8, 2005 | By Jefferson Morley

Posted on 03/08/2005 9:08:49 AM PST by johnny7

In countries where President George Bush and his policies are deeply unpopular, online commentators are starting to think the unthinkable. "Could George W. Bush Be Right?" asked Claus Christian Malzahn in the German newsweekly Der Spiegel. Essayist Guy Sorman asked last month in the Paris daily Le Figaro (by subscription), "And If Bush Was Right?" In Canada, anti-war columnist Richard Gwyn of the Toronto Star answered: "It is time to set down in type the most difficult sentence in the English language. That sentence is short and simple. It is this: Bush was right."

We knew Bush was right... Euro's and Arabs are questioning their previous opinions... and the Democrat Party writhes in its death throe's.

In a way, they have become one with the enemy... our nations agony brings them pleasure.

May they rot in hell!

We still have a long way to go in the Middle East, but yes, Bush was right. People do not like to live in repression, poverty and fear.
Us here at Free Republic knew that all along.

Robert Fisk...begged to differ on Monday. Writing from Beirut, Fisk predicted that Bush's call for Syria to withdraw from Lebanon would only hurt the Lebanese. "Have we forgotten 150,000 dead?" he asked referring to the estimates of the number of people killed in the Lebanese civil war of 1975 to 1989. "Have we forgotten the Western hostages? Have we forgotten the 241 Americans who died in the suicide bombing of 23 October 1983?

Bush was right, and Fisk is a moron.

Yeah...no freakin' DUH!!!

Oh those smarmy crapweasels...they irritate me so....OF COURSE President Bush was right! And these idiots wonder why he won the election!? Maybe it's because those of us who voted for him actually "get it" and have known all along that the President was (and is) right!

You should have attached an "Embedded Fisk Alert". The article actually quotes that miserable excuse for a human being.

"This democracy, if it comes, will be drenched with blood -- but the blood will be that of the Lebanese who live here, not that of the foreigners who wish to bestow freedom upon them."

First, we get complaints that we're spending too much blood and treasure in Iraq. Now Fisk is complaining that we haven't spent enough. Which is it?

I have noticed that some liberals are finally giving Bush some credit on the Middle East. Personally, I don't trust these liberals. One bad incident and the same liberals will be blaming Bush for all that is wrong in the Middle East.

This is what they get for projecting their own fatally flawed, elitist, narrowminded, stubborn, imperialist, ignorant, complacent, arrogant, intolerant personality traits onto the president. Serious angst. Oh well, we can't say we didn't try to warn them.

I absolutely love it. This is the sweet spot where the more
honest liberals realize, with shock, that they were wrong.
The next step, of course, is trying to take credit for
the results of policy that they vehemently opposed.

"One bad incident and the same liberals will be blaming Bush for all that is wrong in the Middle East."

They do that every time a homicide bomber blows up a bunch of Iraqis or some leftist reporter stages her own kidnapping for the purpose of bilking her own government out of vast sums of cash for some terrorist group and then goes home and tries making hers and our governments look like cold-blooded, murderous b@stards.

Another entry for the "Duh!" file. Copy to the "Robert Fisk, Unrepentant Racist" file. (The guy keeps reflexively predicting violently uncivilized behavior by the dark-skinned third-worlders on the infamous "arab street" whom he evidently deems inherently incapable of self-governance -uncivilized behavior that doesn't seem to materialize once said third-worlders are given the opportunity to break the shackles of the tyrannical oppression the lily-white european colonialists like Fisk, Chirac, Schroeder & their shills in the europress have worked so hard over the years to polish.)
