In countries where President George Bush and his policies are deeply unpopular, online commentators are starting to think the unthinkable. "Could George W. Bush Be Right?" asked Claus Christian Malzahn in the German newsweekly Der Spiegel. Essayist Guy Sorman asked last month in the Paris daily Le Figaro (by subscription), "And If Bush Was Right?" In Canada, anti-war columnist Richard Gwyn of the Toronto Star answered: "It is time to set down in type the most difficult sentence in the English language. That sentence is short and simple. It is this: Bush was right."

In a way, they have become one with the enemy... our nations agony brings them pleasure.
May they rot in hell!
Haven't you been paying attention to the dims, the MSM, Hollywood, Europe, etc. over the past 5 years? Bush is an idiot and is never right about anything! Where have you been?
Bush was right, they are all dense for taking so long to get it.
We still have a long way to go in the Middle East, but yes, Bush was right. People do not like to live in repression, poverty and fear.
Us here at Free Republic knew that all along.
Bush was right, and Fisk is a moron.
Yeah...no freakin' DUH!!!
Oh those smarmy crapweasels...they irritate me so....OF COURSE President Bush was right! And these idiots wonder why he won the election!? Maybe it's because those of us who voted for him actually "get it" and have known all along that the President was (and is) right!
"This democracy, if it comes, will be drenched with blood -- but the blood will be that of the Lebanese who live here, not that of the foreigners who wish to bestow freedom upon them."
First, we get complaints that we're spending too much blood and treasure in Iraq. Now Fisk is complaining that we haven't spent enough. Which is it?
Read my all my posts since 2000. You'll find I'm quite aware.
I absolutely love it. This is the sweet spot where the more
honest liberals realize, with shock, that they were wrong.
The next step, of course, is trying to take credit for
the results of policy that they vehemently opposed.
Says it all.
I think there was just a bit of sarcasm in post 2.
Is Bush Right?
Of course he's not.
He's
(choose 1)
A a stupid playboy
B a stupid cowboy
C an evil reincarnation of Adolf Hitler
D a stooge the Dick Cheny and Halibuton
E a brilliant evil politican who's out to rule the world
F a symtom of all that's wrong with Amerika
In the litany of popular liberal revolutions in the past 20 yrs or so, one is often overlooked: the Philippeans.
uh, let's try "...and Fisk is a fudge-packing, hand wringing neo-Stalinist..."
They do that every time a homicide bomber blows up a bunch of Iraqis or some leftist reporter stages her own kidnapping for the purpose of bilking her own government out of vast sums of cash for some terrorist group and then goes home and tries making hers and our governments look like cold-blooded, murderous b@stards.
He's still wearing that head bandage?
Another entry for the "Duh!" file. Copy to the "Robert Fisk, Unrepentant Racist" file. (The guy keeps reflexively predicting violently uncivilized behavior by the dark-skinned third-worlders on the infamous "arab street" whom he evidently deems inherently incapable of self-governance -uncivilized behavior that doesn't seem to materialize once said third-worlders are given the opportunity to break the shackles of the tyrannical oppression the lily-white european colonialists like Fisk, Chirac, Schroeder & their shills in the europress have worked so hard over the years to polish.)
