Everything is relative. I get your point. It doesn't mean they aren't currently erupting, and that was my main point.

These volcanoes are so isolated, even the Cook Inlet ones 80 miles west of Anchorage, the worst case scenario would be ash shutting down the Anchorage airport for an extended period of time - which is an economic disaster for Alaska.

Speaking of activity, how's the undersea activity off Washington progressing? Have they got the research vessle on station yet? I haven't seen any followup posts about it.
