This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.

Suspect's name is Brian Nichols.
one deputy is black, they showed crew putting him into a the back of an ambulance. A real big man (they were having a hard time getting him into the ambulance)

No word on the guys name yet. Getting info off WSB radio. mhking has the latest off WSB-TV. Haven't gotten the word on the clerk/court reporter yet on the radio broadcast.
You'd think the perp just stole the deputy's gun and not a spare clip. I wonder how many rounds he's already expended. He should be running out of ammo pretty soon.
FNC: Carjacking several cars at the point of the gun. At least 3 and perhaps four carjackings so far. Drivers are forced out of cars.
Witness on MSNBC described hearing five shots.
He shot a cop and killed a Judge....he's a dead man.

WBS Radio just reporting that Clerk, too, has died.
Confirming Clerk/Court Reporter dead. No word on a name yet.
I thought the District Attorney was Paul Howard. Anyway, this is so sad. I do pray for the folks at Grady. We have friends that work in the courthouse.
SInce the perp is in the system, they have his picture and they need to release it ASAP.
I surfed channels and was just on CNN. As the reporter stood in front of the crowd some woman behind him was on a cellphone waving to the camera.
Reporter must have been signalled to move to get away from that unseemly display as he moved to where the street rather than the crowd was behind him.
Oh, no. Horrible.
