Ok out of curiousty...does that mean that Limbaugh's listeners should not take him seriously either?

LOL. That's like one of them rhetorical questions, isn't it? ;-)

I lost it for him a few years back when Drudge caught him cold in a lie during a debate on Drudge's radio show.

IIRC, it was about the time of Rush's hearing problem & Drudge got a tip that O'Reilly was going to start a competing show. O'Reilly denied it & went on Drudge's show to dispute it. O'Reilly ended up sounding like a weasel

And of course, Drudge turned out to be right.

Oh. Well, once you get to know me I am really a nice guy. I am sometimes known as The Man but for a whole host of other reasons.

When Rush lost his hearing and was about to have to step down from radio...Drudge had BO on and was quizzing him about going into radio and doing his own show.

Several times on the show BO flat out denied he has any aspirations to go into radio...especially on the heels of what at the time look to be Rush's departure.

Two weeks later his new contract for The Radio Factor was announced,

Drudge hammered him for awhile after that over tht lie.

What did he deny? That he was starting a radio show?

In entertainment alot can happen in two weeks time. Heck I'm hoping I don't lose my VOOM satellite service at the end of the month.

Well I was willing to let that pass...but keep in mind that radio contracts for a national show like that don't jsut come together in two weeks...it would have had to have been in the works for at least 6 months prior.

What tore it for me was the absolutely horrible way he treated the mother who was trying to get her daughters back from her Saudi ex-hubby who was basically holding them hostage in Saudi Arabia

Even the littlest thingy can go wrong in an entertainment deal.

I was okay with the Saudi Arabia thingy and thought it was excellent reporting.

Good post, I think you are right, he is using the Clinton play book of basing his beliefs on the polls. Just once I'd like to see a guy stick to his positions on principle and ignore the dollar signs. Rush did that and he is #1.

I lost respect for the guy when he screwd over the mom trying to get her daughters back from her Saudi ex-husband.

I don't remember him screwing her over ...

Still remember when Ann Coulter was on his "No Spin Zone" when Ann's TREASON first came out.. and he accused Joseph McCarthy of being on the "horrible"..
House Un-American Activity's Commission..

Ann looked him the eye and said.. Joseph McCarthy was a Senator Bill, he was not in the House of Representatives..

He of course, broke for a message from his sponsors.. LOL...
What a moroon.. I knew then that O'Really was dumb as a post..

Even though Bill pulled the girls to London for his "interview" the very same weekend the mom was going to Saudi Arabia with her senator to try and meet with the girls?

That's just wrong on so many levels IMHO.

Then to sit there and berate the woman on ntional tv after the interview and tell her "those girls could have left with me if they wanted to" showed not only an extreme callousness on Bill's part but an unttler lack of knowledge on jsut how restricted those girls ere even sitting there with his producer.

Bill's done some good things don't get me wrong.

But since he's become the Fox "Ratings King" there's been a distinct shift in his politics and his arrogance has skyrocketed.

He now regularly refers to Ann Coulter and Rush and a couple others as "right wing bomb throwers".

And of course he refers to those of us who read Ann's column or listen to Rush as "kool-aid drinkers".

In his world the ONLY one who is in the middle so to speak is Bill himself.
