I find it helpful too. Around here, there are a lot of bad drivers and a lot of bumpers that for Kerry, Tammy Baldwin, and Russ Feingold.

The drivers are really horrible when Democrats win the natioinal elections, they speed and take stupid risks like they're on a cocaine or meth binge.

After this last election, they were moping around like a bee hive that just lost its queen. Even though they pretty much won on the locals.

That'd be presumptuous on my VW.
But the reinforced bumpers and the train chimes would be within feasibility.

I meant almost word for word! Seriously, I don't know if Quinn was reading this article or another, but the story is damn near verbatim. The examples of getting cut off at the drive thru pharmacy and the guy doing 50 on the highway trying "to conserve gas..." are exactly what he said on the radio. Someone isn't giving the proper credit to someone else. Quinn usually reads articles, he'll let you know when a piece is his own.

beyond the sea, do you remember Quinn doing this story on Thursday? Did he credit the PG or someone else?

Well I don't listen to Quinn's show.
But here is his online show archive if you want to verify what you heard.

JettaIII GL.
Just enough space inside the front fenders for an airhorn.

I tend to agree, 'though I still have my Bush/Cheney and W in the football shaped sticker on my car.

In Madison (WI) it's bumper stickers that hold most of the old Festivas together. One sees a huge array of "God protect me from your followers" the Darwin fish, "Poverty is violence," etc.

Yesterday I saw a cool old car, maybe a caddy, it was white with "Nuke 'em" sticker on one side and "Let's Roll" on the other, then I saw one of those red, white, and blue magnet ribbons on the driver's door. It was sitting in a Walgreen's parking lot while I was on my way to work.

It gave me a nice boost on my way to the daily grind.

I should have stopped to photograph it as it is an exceptional find (and who would believe me without a photo?) but I'm perennially late for work, so I just smiled and enjoyed it in my own way.

Thanks. I will buy a can and start spraying on all Kerry stickers I notice in town (which in my town is a lot!)

[Note to authorities: just kidding!]

I work at a National Park. I never saw a pickup truck with Kerry/Edwards on it. I only saw cars and mini vans.

I remember seeing pictures of this car months ago. The color of the car now may not match the registration, which is illegal in many states. Any idea what happened with the car?

A truck with a Kerry Edwards sticker????

If you keep up with the DUmmie FUnnies, you know that the DUmmies are even arming themselves these days. They think the Bush admin is shutting down the Internet because of their inane ravings. They think there's one switch that can turn off the whole shebang like the light switch in their homeless shelters.

They even think fake news anchor, Jon Stewart, is being persecuted and that's why his wife was arrested for driving on a suspended license.

This is your brain on dots.

If it were the Jetta wagon or a Golf.
*sigh*
Wagon version didn't come out until later on.
(LOTS of space for camping gear, or recalcitrant passengers.)

"Serious question: what is the best way to remove an old bumper sticker?"

Rough up the surface a little bit with some sandpaper, then soak it down good with WD-40 and let it sit for a while. Then gently scrape it off with a putty knife.

Warming up the glue with a heat gun or hair dryer can work too, but now days most bumpers are not made of metal so you run the risk of doing damage to the plastic with the heat gun method.

I've seen the same thing. Kerry bumper stickers where you'd least likely find them. Evangelical church parking lots, Red states, red cities, pickup trucks with gun racks, cars with military institute insignias in the back window. Guys in the guard or reserve in uniform getting out of their cars at gas stations or dining establishments.

Many thanks. I have both a 2000 and a 2004 vintage Bush bumper sticker on my car. For the time being I'll leave both on, to torture our numerous local libs. Once I make my pick for 2008, I'll remove them.

For the time being I'm leaning toward "Vote Neo-Con Conspiracy: Perle/Wolfowitz 2008!"

Funny stuff. For a minute I thought I was reading something from the Great One.

'W' stands for winner.
