The search for a missing teenage girl ends with a horrible discovery. 18-year-old Ashley Degerstrom's body was found stuffed in the trunk of her own car.
That car was found Saturday afternoon at the Villas at Costa Brava Apartments on the northwest side. Ashley disappeared from her home Friday morning.
Her family called police, but they didn't see anything suspicious at first. But Friday night, they were called out to a west side home for a burglary, and found blood and a bloody knife inside.
A witness saw Ashley's car leaving the scene.
"They started putting two and two together, had officers get in the area, eagle got up in the air," said Officer Joe Rios.
The helicopter spotted the 19-year-old suspect, Darryl Moseley, driving Ashley's car Saturday afternoon. He ran to an apartment, where police say he knew the people who lived there.
"Officers converged on the area and arrested him without incident," said Rios.
Moseley was arrested late Saturday night.
"She was a friend of mine," Meseley confessed to WOAI. "All I can say to the family is I'm sorry. I've had a lot of stuff happen to me in my life. It was just like my snapping, my breaking point, you know what I'm saying. Some stuff with my ex-girlfriend or whatever. My feelings got in the way, but you know what happened, it is what it is. I'm sorry about it. Now it's just time for me to man up to it," said Moseley.
Moseley has been charged with murder.

And note the excuse he's planning to use already - he just snapped, it was an ex-girlfriend, and now he's being a "man" about it.
Earlier, while watching TV, I came across an interview with an Atlanta radio talk show host as the guest. She said she has been fielding calls and people do not want to hear how that guy has had a tough life, was abused etc. It is amazing that it has come to this. Enough of the babying.
What a cascade of a@+holes we are seeing. Everyone is just "snapping"! Give me a break! I think if I ran into this jerk I would "snap"! And then I would just claim the "Snapping Defense".
This is what comes from the whole "Victim" generation...It's not my fault, it's society's fault, my parents fault, the economy's fault, George Bush's fault, Sponge Bob's fault. It starts with kids in school and goes from there. Why can't we take all these victims and put them on a remote island where they can whine about their victim status and figure out how they can live together.
To clarify my earlier post, the Atlanta radio talk show host was discussing the vile slaying in Georgia. The excuse has become commonplace.

Being from San Antonio, I watched WOAI news tonight and saw this loser's confession to the camera while being taken into the police station. Not too bright... he apparently wasn't listening to that "You have the right to remain silent" part of the Miranda warning... he might as well plead guilty now!

Let's hope he's "man" enough to take his punishment, even if it means lethal injection.
Taxpayers get to pay the freight on this man child idiot for the next 30 years, not to mention the trial expenses. ChiComs have a better idea. One bullet to take care of it and give the victim's family some closure. Some real closure.
I hope the judge and jurors just "snap" when they give him the death penalty.

Well, he was sure quick with his self defense, huh? He's the real victim and she just sort of got in the way.
Only they need to announce ahead of time when and where they will release him and at the scheduled time throw him out of a moving van wearing nothing but a big target painted on his back.
Oh hell, the vermin isn't worth the effort. Just take him out and shoot him like you would any other rabid animal.
