Sadly, Terri Schiavo is not unique.
We need laws to stop this precedent, otherwise we will end up like the Netherlands. Many elderly people in the Netherlands are leaving for Germany, because they are afraid of being killed against their will.
By PVS evaluation, do you mean the hospice certification form? That's what was posted here for a while -- and Gambone's name is sure enough TYPED in, but he never did sign it. It was actually signed by __Moore MD on 4/11/00. The referral was taken by Catherine C. Hodge, GS and it was signed by ... can't read it well ... _____ndy Cusimano RN. It was done on 3/3/00 life expectancy less than 6 months; terminal diagnosis WRITTEN IN in this otherwise typed form): vegetative state.
In the bottom typed in it says: "Based on the patient's diagnosis and current condition, I expect this patient has a limited life expectancy of six (6) months or less, if disease continues to take its usual course, and hereby certify this patient as eligible for Hospice care." Then is the place for physician to sign as the one verbally certifying this info is true. Gambone's name is typed in, but Moore actually signed.
Great additions, nanette -- thanks.

I thought of another one, too as I considered all that is happening:
STUNNING REVELATIONS (Schiavorevelations):
1) Michael Schiavo was hired as RN for the St. Petersburg Jail in Sheriff Rice's last 4 days in office.
IMPLICATIONS: Does Michael therefore enjoy increased access and credibility in his new capacity?
What does this mean for anyone who may be arrested in hospice protests, as 3-4 were today?
goodnight back to you. May angels seen and unseen continue to guard and protect Terri . . . may any additional evil against her be thwarted.
Do you want me to ping my Terri list again?
Thank you for this new thread!
