Discussions are useless. Islam is a dangerous cult and should be banned from civilized societies.

I have read all 116 or so of the Koran chapters. I don't mean I read it like a novel. You put yourself in a Muslims place.
There is one God Allah, period. Muhammed is his prophet, period. What does Allah want of me if anything? Does HE want me to spend more time fishing or what?
When you finish the Koran you should know in no uncertain terms what HE wants.
I have the same take as the Wahabbis do on the religion. Don't befriend non - Muslims, subdue or kill non-believers, and since they are offensive to HIM you can deceive the Infidel in anyway you see fit, if it will further Islam.
We are in a religious war and only a lethal dose of poison will stop Islam. And that poison is western culture, American style.
But the Wahabbis realize this and it is why they don't want the culture changed and why they resist so much. - Tom

You are right. Once you read the Koran - not to mention the ahadith (many of which are like short scripts of horror movies) you can ask yourself what exactly is it that Osama, or the Iraqi beheaders, or the suicide bombers misunderstood.
The biggest illusion is to imagine that there is a moderate Islam. America's "allies" (Saudi Arabia and Egypt) have among them the most rabid Muslims. Osama bin Laden should've been grateful to America for helping the Afgans rid themselves of the Russians, instead he stabbed America in the back.
All that said, there is however a grave and important critcism to make to the entire Western world. Many countries, first and foremost America had no qualms about fighting Communism, but few openly dare to criticize this evil cult. All countries still qualify it as a religion.
I'm afraid that the reasons are purely economical. Unless we are willing to take the economic hit, unless we are willing to put spiritual values over money, Islam will continued to be honored.
Our struggle, each in his own land is to expose this cult and to make sure that our governments do what is necessary to face the danger.
America doesn't trade with Iran, but all European countries do and this is shameful. We do business with people who half bury women in pits and throw rocks at them. We are even tinkering with the idea of allowing Turkey into the union and outside the big cities, lapidation is still very much practiced there. America is quite insistent, quite favorable towards Turkey's entry into the Union.
Please write to your senators and congressmen!
