SELF-PROCLIMED exorcist Bob Larson could be using hypnosis to entrance his subjects, an expert says.
Melbourne counseling hypnotherapist Daryl Wilkinson says the techniques used by the US evangelist are typical of hypnotherapy.
"Basically what he's doing is a selection process, seeing who is susceptible to suggestion," he said.
Larson performed several exorcisims and blessings before hundreds of mostly young people at a free sermon at the Forum Theatre on Friday night....
"If someone is wide-eyed and into it, he'll take them, but if someone is 'Oh yeah, c'mon, he won't." Mr Wilkinson said.

The link is below.
At Apologetics Index there is a section which, apparently, shows that Bob Larson offers Christians a "Do What Jesus Did" (DWJD) club.
Apparently, though, it is not free of charge, but costs hundreds of dollars.

Bob Larson is a charlatan of the first order. A Robert Tilton with hair plugs.
People got wise to him here, now he's moved overseas for new hunting grounds...
From myfortress.org
Bob Larson: "You know, one of the most amazing things I've ssen the Devil do is imitate me. Now, I'm not talking about Rich Little, I'm not talking about an impersonator, like a comedian -- I'm talking about actually duplicating my voice, my body, my face, everything about me...."

Evidently.
Take a look at some of Bob Larson quoted here.

I clicked on your link....
The link at the page, entitled "Pastor" Joel Osteen, really cuts to the heart of the matter concerning this "feel good" preacher.
Thanks for the kind thoughts.
Having been a pastor, passages like Ezekiel 3 and Acts 20:26-27 are immensely sobering to me. As I picture standing before God's judgment, I'd far rather be in a position of having moved genuine Christians to examine their faith, than to have given false comfort to the lost.
Dan
Actually, I like what I have read from David Wilkersons Times Square Pulpit series.
Do I consider him a "feel good" preacher? No, not from what I have read, from time to time, over the past two or three years.
But, he preaches the Grace of God. That we are saved by our faith in Christ and His sacrifice on the Cross.
That we cannot earn our way into salvation.
That makes me "feel good."
So it must be bad.
Concerning your second paragraph, I agree....
When one realizes the finality when standing before God, realizing that, as the scriptures say, we must give an account of all that is done in word or deed, it should incur within one the desire to preach and teach those things which pertain to true Godliness.
How some "preachers" can do the things they do boggles the mind....
Skooz, you apparently have tried to place the ministry of Joel Osteen and David Wilkerson within the same ballpark.
David Wilkersons ministry and Joel Osteens ministry are light-years apart.
Look at the quotes at this link:
http://www.myfortress.org/joelosteen.html
Heres one:
"Your words have creative power...."
Puhleeze....
Well, there certainly are similarities. False prophets are false prophets, and neither would be where he is if it weren't for the deviations unique to Charismaticism.
Dan
Anyone who calls David Wilkerson a "false prophet" is showing profound ignorance.
Um... on your planet, what do you call someone who makes a prophecy that does not come true? Like Wilkerson did?
Dan
Bob Larson loves his filthy lucre more than anything.
Osteen gives me the willies. Yeah, I know, I won't be a "champion" now but he makes my feet itch.
If you have the information on David Wilkerson that you speak of I would be interested in seeing it.
I have read some of what David Wilkerson has sent to me through the mail, over the past two to three years, but if there are some "unique deviations"(WOF teaching?) that I have missed, I would be interested in seeing it.
Did Wilkerson prophesy something(s) which didn't come to pass?
Thanks.
