Bush Tells Press: “Israel Must Withdraw from Settlements”

U.S. President George W. Bush reveals his true vision for the future of Israel: Removal of Jewish communities to make room for a contiguous PLO state in Judea and Samaria.

Bush's statement was made at a press conference with Jordan's King Hussein at his side.

Bush called on Israel to “sacrifice, meaning that Israel must withdraw from the settlements, there must be contiguous territory for a Palestinian state – into which a Palestinian state can grow.”

Inasmuch as the Sharon government is adopting the Bush vision for the Middle East, the current plan for expelling Jewish residents from Gaza and Northern Samaria can only be seen as the first-step in a more large-scale expulsion and demolition process that may soon encompass tens of thousands of Jewish residents living in dozens of towns and villages in Judea and Samaria.

Deputy Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has hinted repeatedly at the government’s true intentions by actually referring to the Gaza expulsions as the first phase of a broader initiative to comply with Bush’s road map for establishing a Palestinian state.

The controversial Sasson report and the soon to be released Spiegel report, damning the settlement drive as an illegal effort driven by uncontrolled government clerks usurping state authority, were designed to whip up public antagonism toward Yesha communities and provide a legal basis for tearing them down.

Both reports were commissioned at the behest of U.S. ambassador, Dan Kurtzer, acting as if the Bush Administration has started to exercise de facto sovereignty over the policies of the Jewish State.

In this context, White House spokesman Scott McClellan’s contention that Bush was referring only to Jewish towns slated for removal under Sharon’s disengagement plan, sounds like a exercise in damage control typical when a president finally says what he means.

The whole point is that they are too vile to stick to the parameters of any agreement. Think about it!

I have taken some heat on Free Republic for my opinion that President Bush was NEVER on Israel's side. I have doubted whether or not he is a friend of Israel from the beginning.

When President Bush and Prime Minister Sharon were both new in their respective offices the Prime Minister came to the U.S. to visit the President. Israel's English language press ran with the headline "Bushwhacked!" to describe the visit. The Prime Minister warned the President that Israel was not Czechoslovakia in 1938 and would not be sold out. The White House commented as one might expect and relations between Israel and the U.S. were positively icy.

Then 9/11 happened, the two nations found common cause, and all was forgiven and forgotten.

It seems in his second term President Bush has returned to his original policy towards Israel.

Please take a good long look at Senator Kerry's record vis a vis Israel over the past 20 years. I may disagree with the liberal Massachussets Senator on more issues than Carter has little pills but he has been consistent in one thing: his extremely strong support for Israel. On this one, and only this one issue, I honestly believe Kerry would have been much better.

Was that enough reason to vote for Kerry? For most American conservatives the answer is clearly no. I am not saying he should have been elected. I am saying he would have been better for Israel.

Dubya has returned to the anti-Israel policy of his daddy and that nasty James Baker, who'd screw over his dying grandmother if it would benefit him.

After he was elected, Bush slowly changed his rheteric. My suspicions grew every day as I heard him sound more and more like his father. Leave us say, I am angry.

Having said that, my livelyhood is directly tied to the type of conservative economics that the Republicans favor. If I knew then what I know now, I would have had a very difficult time voting for Bush.

There is another thought though. Who is to say that the pressures of the Presidency wouldn't have forced Kerry to sound exactly like Bush does right now? Kerry is wobbler and moves which ever way the political winds blow.

Jewish prophecy says that in the days before the coming of Moshiach that Israel will have no where to turn except for Hashem. It may be that this time is rapidly approaching.

When Dubya finishes selling out Israel to the PLO/PA, he'll sell us out to Mexico.
