when some peasants in collectives denounced the rich landowners.


occasionally the mob would get out of control and kill a the son of a landowner. and eat him.

See my post above. It went beyond that in some villages. Any mob-rule-decided enemy could easily end up in the local butcher shop or key dish at a community feed. Any reluctant to partake were at risk for being the next key dish at the next community feed--as a prime example of an enemy of the people, of course.
