Bulgarian Pop Folk Divas to Boast Iraq Soldiers Morale
Novinite - Sofia News Agency ^ | 3/17/05

Bulgaria pop folk divas have declared their willingness to go to Iraq and stage performances for the Bulgarian soldiers in the country.

Local bTV channel talked to renowned pop folk singers Kameliya, Reni and Ivana who explained they were ready to leave for Iraq and perform for the Bulgarian soldiers there.

Despite the tense situation in Iraq we are willing to go there and show the boys that Bulgaria loves them and supports them, Ivana said.

The US army has the practice of sending famous performers like Elvis Presley, Marline Monroe, Sher and Mariah Carey.

Bulgarian MPs are also considering a possible trip to Iraq to meet the country's soldiers there. Still, the trip is under question, as the Defence Ministry has not greenlighted it due to safety reasons.

Bulgaria has a 460-strong infantry unit in the Iraqi city of Diwaniya, serving under Polish command, and its mandate expires mid-2005.

AND HERE IS THE PICTURE FOR ALL YOU MALE FREEPERS BECAUSE I KNOW HOW MUCH YOU GUYS SUFFER IF YOU DON'T HAVE A PICTURE!
