Just heard on Fox that U.S. Senate will convene today in emergency session regarding Terri Schiavo.
Aesthetics aside, he seems to have the backing for the time being of those final authorities invested with the power of the State.
Praise the Lord! A bicameral and bi-partisan agreement!
CAN TERRI GET FOOD AND WATER BEFORE THE LEGISLATION IS PASSED, NOW??

According to what DeLay said last night, he and others were working on resolving the wording issue in the Bill, so that both the House and the Senate would pass it. I don't think they were just sitting on their hands today.
Also, for Congress to meet today, the President had to call for an emergency session, so let's also give President Bush credit for acting.
Congressman Delay indicated the plan is that the Senate will meet at 5 p.m. for the purpose of adjourning, at which point Speaker Hastert is empowered to call an "emergency session" of the Congress for Palm Sunday at 1 p.m.
[My comment] This ties in with the Congress' adjournment resolution yesterday which indicated they would reconvene on Monday 3/28 UNLESS the Senate adjounrned first, in which case everyone goes home fr two weeks.
This is tricky timing as fas as I am concerned!

Thanks for that info. I was wondering/concerned about those who don't have a living will having to be made to have an attorney get involved if all agreed that they would not want life support to be continued. Like both my husband and myself.
listening now to Fox - great work by decent Dems (this is not a political argument) and resolute Repubs.

Not yet...she's still being starved. I wish there was some protection for her right now. Monday is the earliest she can be fed again. If she lives that long.....somebody needs to make sure she does!
It is very clear who Felos represents. He represents himself, his ghoulish, pro-death agenda, his own delusional ideations of being able to reach nirvana by talking to the dead and perforning in the courtroom, his own pathological need to manipulate the powers of life and death and finally, and probably most significantly, his need to get the final chapter of his book to his publisher before he has to pay back whatever advance he got for it. From Felos' perspective, everybody else on the stage are just supporting performers to his starring role.
Then again the fact that several need to return to Washington just MIGHT have something to do with it!
