In my case, I had jaw surgery last summer and have metal screws in my jaw. But, they are not magnetic, so it is safe to have an MRI.

i heard that they weren't allowed to be there, that there will be no autopsy and she will be cremated---

In other words, no evidence, which I think makes her living body, right now, a possible "crime scene", and should be closely examined for any possible other injuries!

What about sending him to Camp X-ray. They must have a spare cell for him there!

I imagine the other prisoners are missing their sheep and goats quiet a bit by now. Any port in a storm if you catch my drift. :-)

Mary Laybak, CEO of Woodside Hospice has direct ties to Euthanasia Society of America and Hemlock for Hospice, an organization that seeks to accelerate the dying process. Federal funds may not be used for these purposes.

Gee, there's a shocker.

The Hospice is a federally funded program designed for terminally ill and those whose death is eminent. Terri has been in Woodside Hospice illegally for three years under Medicaid payments, for free, courtesy of, yep, George Felos. Felos combined and conspired with Michael Schiavo to arrange for Terri's "free" stay at Hospice Woodside as part of an "exit protocol" designed to advance Felos' self-perceived messianic mission of "helping" incapacitated people to die by categorizing them as "terminal," warehousing them, and depriving them of therapy and rehabilitation services.

US Dept of Health and Human Services is currently trying to collect $14.8 million from Florida Suncoast Hospice, owed to them since 1997. The squeaki-clean(not) Hospice is accused of patient brokering and several lawsuits filed by Attorney Jonathan Alpert are pending.

Thanks for finding and posting this. Maybe once the feeding tube is restored, disclosure can begin in earnest.

I'm glad I was here to catch that.

Both his parents? Now this?

He needs to be criminally investigated. And the concubine needs to watch her back.

You have actually shared a similar thought I had. This does not go to the merits of either side but who will care for her once her parents pass away or if she outlives her brother and sister.

It is a strange world indeed.

Yes, MRS strongly believes in cremation -- to save the environment, perhaps? I assume that both of his parents were cremated too. I understand that he can forbid the Schindlers from holding a memorial service after her death because he has exclusive rights to her "estate."

Have you even read anything about this case? Your comments seem like they were made after watching 5 minutes the SCUMBAG husband and his SCUMBAG lawyer on Larry King.

[excerpt from the media kit]
"Terri was NEVER diagnosed as a heart attack victim when she was admitted to the Northside Humana emergency room in February 1990. To this day, her family does not know the true cause of her collapse. Doctors immediately excluded heart attack as her blood enzymes were not elevated -- typical in all heart attack victims. Terri's toxicology screen also eliminated any suspicion of drugs.

At the time of Terri's admittance, blood tests revealed a depletion of electrolytes and her attending physician HYPOTHESIZED that low blood potassium MAY have caused her collapse. It was with this information that Michael Schiavo entered into a lawsuit against Terri's General Practitioner and Gynecologist, claiming negligence on their part.

In preparation for Terri's October 2002 trial, her ER records were reviewed and it was plainly noted in the "Admitting Summary" that Terri had a "rigid neck" when she was admitted to the hospital. These injuries were never disclosed to Terri's family, nor -- to their knowledge -- were they ever investigated. The doctor reviewing these records testified that the only other patient he treated with similar injuries was the victim of an attempted strangulation.

The prospect that foul play may have led to Terri's collapse and ensuing heart stoppage was enhanced when a bone scan was recently found. This scan, taken 53 weeks after Terri's collapse revealed that Terri had fractured ribs, damage to her pelvic area, LI vertebrae, spine, both knees and both ankles. It also revealed that Terri had suffered a broken femur and a broken back. Three doctors concluded that Terri had endured trauma of some sort. The radiologist responsible for the scan plainly stated: "This patient has a history of trauma".

No, the feds have said that ex post facto applies only in criminal matters, not "civil" ones.

WOW.
BUMPIMNG this post back up:

"Our fine judge [Greer] accepted as the basis of his rulings, the questionable testimony of Michael Schiavo that Terri would wish to be killed, yet Michael never stated this until after he had received the 1.2 million dollar settlement during which time he portrayed himself as a loving husband that just wanted to bring his wife home and take care of her.

The judge also accepted as the basis of his rulings, the "opinion" of a third doctor who is the brother of a close associate of George Felos, Michael Schiavo's right-to-kill attorney, and very significantly, former Chairman of, you got it again, the same hospice board, Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, which operates Woodside Hospice in Pinellas Park, Florida.

Still have some hair left? Let's see what we can do about that!

Mary Laybak, CEO of Woodside Hospice has direct ties to Euthanasia Society of America and Hemlock for Hospice, an organization that seeks to accelerate the dying process. Federal funds may not be used for these purposes.

I didn't know that, um, phrase had been laid to rest. Sorry if it offends you.

But you know, I think Hildy's obsession with it is an unwitting admission on her part.

Years ago I read a psychiatrist's treatise on the topic of an obsessive, childish fear of death. The obsession seemed to be tied up with with a sort of fetish about ... well, excretory products, shall we say. (I don't know how to be more delicate than that.)

Most of us grow up and get over this childish fixation. Some obviously don't, to the point where they'd "rather die" than ... you know the rest.

I heard that that was the "compromise" that the Senate had to make to get the House to cooperate---

IMHO--that pretty much seals Terri's fate!!! and Santorum should be ashamed if he agreed to it---

But you heard that Kennedy said he would us everything in his power to fight it---and unfortunately, HE has more power than Santorum, I guess-

Hildy is back, I see. Still advocating death for the disabled. I bet she supported the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 though.

"Hitler started with the disabled. It was called T4. "The black triangle"- an Interesting read about Hitler's T4 program (exterminating the disabled) http://www.cnmhc.org/main/current%20news/triangle_symbol.htm "

Thanks.

Yes, Hitler had NO time for the disabled and handicapped. The ONLY good handicapped or disabled person was a dead one. The handicapped and disabled did not fit in to his master plan and of course neither did Gypsies or Jews and eventually ALL who disagreed with him had to be murdered - healthy or not.

That's a good link:

http://www.cnmhc.org/main/current%20news/triangle_symbol.htm
I hope others that are so rabidly pro death for Terri who is also disabled read this. Perhaps some sanity and human compassion will awaken.

I see a direct parallel to the Holocaust and how Hitler dealt with the disabled and handicapped. We already exterminate millions of unborn and about to be born babies each year. In some states "assisted suicide" is legal and now we appear to be legalizing the starvation of the disabled because they require care and love that just isn't convenient to the "care giver" - Michael, her estranged husband.

What can one say, some are hell bent on history repeating itself all over again. They simply don't care.

The German anti-fascist Martin Niemoller comes to mind:

"First they came for the Communists, but I was not a Communist so I did not speak out.

Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade Unionists, but I was neither, so I did not speak out.

Then they came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew so I did not speak out.

And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me."

I'm going to just change this around alittle. It needs work but you'll get the idea.

When they murdered the unborn and about to be born, babies, I didn't speak out.

Because I wasn't pregnant and I wouldn't do that if I was pregnant.

Then they came for the disabled and handicapped and I didn't speak out because I wasn't in that condition. I was healthy and didn't care about them.

Later I got old and I was infirmed. Then they came for ME!

They told me I was taking up scarce resources and costing others money through my health insurance and a burden to everyone. No one decent was left to speak out for me. They were all gone.

There are different reasons people need them but they are all about feeding people, most of whom cannot eat by mouth, probably 90% or so.

I understand that those who wish to see Terri die do not mind people having feeding tubes. What you are delicately implying is that others with feeding tubes are not brain damaged.

How sad.
