The spouse has the right to make all decisions for someone who is incapacitated with the concurrence of the court.

You folks would consider me a liberal, and I am not embarrassed at the label. I certainly believe in a safety net for society and helping minorites who otherwise would not be given opportunities.

Why are liberal so mistaken in this? Do you know that conservatives also believe in a safety net for society - we just don't want it to be a hammock. And we believe that showing someone self-reliance will do far more to help them than taking care of their every necessity without having to do anything for it but wait for the check in the mail.

As for helping minorities, conservatives are for this also. There are just more ways to get this done than the Liberals approach - for starters, school choice. The liberal approach is keeping minorities enslaved.

Climb out of your own head and prejudices and figure that Republicans and conservatives never "wanted to starve children" when it came to the school lunch program. They wanted to stop wasting money on school lunch by having the money first go to Washington and then get redistributed back. The liberal approach was not starving children, of course. Just costing the taxpayer way more than it needed to.
