God Bless President Bush.
I hope all this will be in time to save Terri's life.
Our President has his priorities straight!
Yessssssssssssss!!
"White House spokesman Scott McClellan said Bush would leave his ranch in Crawford, Texas, on Sunday to head back to Washington "in anticipation of congressional action defending the life of Terri Schiavo." He added Bush planned to sign the legislation as quickly as possible."
Looks like Monday will be the soonest.
I knew he would step in.
ping
I prefer to think of it has the Florida right to live case.
If I read earlier posts on another thread correctly, it's impossible for him to sign it before Monday.
Let's haul Greer's sorry butt up to Washington too for a little 'splainin.
Now the Congress needs to get Judge Greer behind bars on contempt charges.
On CSPAN earlier, Delay and the others said they hoped that they could have the House and Senate both pass the bill by Tomorrow 1:00. There's a chance it could happen tomorrow.
It should have happened long before now, but we'll take what we can get.
unfortunately, i think that may be a bit too much to ask.
Can you imagine having Bill or Hillary at this time.President Bush comes through again!
Agreed. These activists judges need to go.
Could be as much as 72 hours without hydration....which is much more serious than food deprivation.
Could President Bush pardon Terri Schiavo form the starvation death penalty?
I'm at a loss here. After DeLay, Frist, and now President Bush, a man I've stalwartly defended and actively campaigned for, have all betrayed the core of federalism, I don't know if I can truly call myself a Republican anymore. It's going to take a lot of soul searching before I can even contemplate ever voting Republican again, if even I ever can.
"The House and Senate hoped to act on the legislation Sunday, so Bush decided he needed to be in Washington so he could immediately sign the bill, McClellan said."
He can sign it tomorrow.
But how soon after that can they reinsert the feeding tube?
After all, Congress issued a subpoena for Terri, which should have prevented the removal of the feeding tube in the first place, and Judge Greer ordered it removed anyway.
Will we have to get someone to arrest the judge, before we can get someone to reinsert the tube?
