She's a supercilious dope. Did you happen to see that clip of her appearance on some obscure talk show (hosted by the English boss from Drew Carey)? When asked if she hated the President, she relied that she "doesn't like to use the word hate on Bush, Cheney & Co. because it anthropomorphizes them." She was praised for her use of big words. No one challenged her as to whether she actually believed that the President isn't human, or if she understood the word she had employed. She's the classic example of the pseudo-intellectual, and add to that her disgusting and gray worldview.

I admit I haven't followed this story closely, but the video I saw of Teri Shiavo over the weekend seemed to be of a woman who was not totally comatose, but to some extent was responsive to people and her environment. Is that correct?
