Mar 21, 2005 7:04 pm US/Eastern NEW YORK (CBS) There was a major fundraiser tonight for one of New York’s most famous and ambitious politicians. As donors shell out big bucks for Senator Hillary Clinton, the question abounds what’s in her future?
Hillary Clinton expects to raise a half million dollars at two Manhattan events. It is all for her upcoming Senate race next year but Clinton is thinking past that contest to the 2008 Presidential race.
Hillary Clinton took a stroll through history on Monday afternoon. Appearing at the New York Historical Society, she gazed at a pantsuit she wore in her historic Senate bid in 2000. She also waxed nostalgic about her days as First Lady.
“People will overlook policies about war and peace to argue about a first lady’s hairdo or wardrobe,” says Clinton.
But the talk in the room was about her future. Clinton is now the Democratic front-runner for president in 2008. A recent poll has her way out in front at this early stage with 39 percent, John Kerry at 21, John Edwards at 15 and Joseph Biden at 5.

It is still unclear who the Republicans will find to run against Mrs. Clinton in next year’s Senate race. Despite a lot of talk within the GOP of damaging her presidential chances with a strong Senate challenge, no major Republican has shown an interest yet in taking her on.

Hillary Rodham-Stalin's "fundraising" usually involves various felonies, so look for indictments of the little people in a few years.
It would be great if little Hillary won the nomination for the Dems.
She creeps out so many people (women included) that it would be an easy sail to victory for any Repub nominee.

You are exactly right. We CAN'T become complacent or overconfident and can't let Hitlery even get close to their nomination, if possible. I'm afraid that the Clintoons are already getting a "Ross Perot" ready so she can Goose Step right in. Wake up Americans! This is a vile, evil creature.
