Sexual Orientation and School Policy is a case study of one school districts' attempt to adopt and implement policies that include sexual orientation. This book describes the work of the Safe Schools Coalition who advocate and educate for equal rights for gay lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, intersex, and queer/questioning (GLBTIQ) students. Concerned Citizens, a group of conservative parents, opposed the inclusion of sexual orientation in the policies. Factors that either facilitated or impeded the implementation of the policies are highlighted, as are the strategies employed by the Safe Schools Coalition in educating opponents

James Madison University sent me an Alumni magazine highlighting an Education Professor who wrote this book. I just about fell out of my chair! I guess I need to read this book, because I need an education about what intersex means and why I should include it in my daughter's cirriculum.

Mmmkay, googled and found this: http://www.isna.org/. After reading I was a good bit more confused. I did a google image search, found a few adult web sites and it cleared it up for me. Intersex is the PC term for Hermaphrodite.

OMG I looked at that site. I looked at this part - http://www.isna.org/faq/what_is_intersex where they say men with small penises were meant to be born female! They created a whole new perverted gender for this?? Too funny.

Please try to understand that these groups do not want understanding. They are proselytizing their lifestyle. Many young people already think that bisexuality is the norm, the standard. At present, they have won the hearts and minds of many or most of our youth. While we make glib comments about what's going on, they're stealing our children.
