That is another problem that must be addressed. Our courts are totally out of control. Their rulings are inconsistant to the point where the law is becoming a joke.

First they rule that states have no right to determin things like whether a 17 year old has a right to murder and live and an 18 year old can die. Then they rule that a state court CAN decide that a disabled woman can be killed because her adulterous husband wants it. They decide that the first ammendment doesn't apply to political speech, but it does apply to flag burning. They decide that terrorists who have been caught in the act of killing and plotting to kill American citizens should be treated well and fed well, but that an American citizen who can not feed herself deserves to starve to death. A court has a right to determine what is and what is not marriage and decide that gender plays no role, but then decides that a man who is living in common law with another woman, and has children by that common law "marriage" can decide the fate of the woman he has abandoned.

How on earth do they expect people to respect the law when there is no commonsense way to understand it?

Our courts are destroying our legal system.

absolutely, many of us were talking about that days ago. these same courts suddenly woke up one morning and found some new "right" for Lee Malvo to avoid the death penalty. And someday, they will discover a new right to allow gays to marry.

But back to the point on this - I don't think this is the issue to go to the mats and force a constitutional crisis on; not that is isn't an important issue, but I just don't see it "going all the way".

You speak in a clear voice. It is a comfort for those of us who see no sense in any of this.

I woke up around 2 am this morning and read the bad news from the 11th circuit. I went back to bed around 6:30 and when I woke up again a haunting melody of a song for Terri was playing in my head. It still is.

Then I turned on the tv and the first thing I saw was a group of people reading from the Bible. A 70 years old woman from that group was arrested for trying to take a cup of water to Terri. I was brought to tears and cried out to Jesus.

Bless those whose hearts have not grown cold and have not forsaken the Lord or his children. Prayers for Terri and her family.

We need a miracle, and soon.

That is exactly 100% correct. And it's not happening by accident. That's the scary part.
