This is not a surprise. Since the SCOTUS has refused to hear this case before, in earlier stages, it would be incredible if they took it on now.

The legal battle is now done, and things will take their course. There may be future cases come out of this whole thing, but that remains to be seen.

I don't get these pre-emptive legal actions, M. Schiavo's or Greer's. Normally you would wait until someone brings a case to court against you to respond but especially in Judge Greer's case you don't issue rulings in expectation that another arm of government might act against a previous ruling you made. It reeks of paranoia.
