Soros and Schiavo

"We should consider laws that permit next of kin to decide to forgo life sustaining medical interventions even when a patient's wishes are not known," said George Soros in a speech of November 30, 1994, delivered at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.

In that speech, Soros announced the launch of his Project on Death in America, a program designed to steer U.S. medicine toward a rationing system whereby only the fit received proper care, while the unfit – such as Terri Schiavo – were written off and allowed to die. In the same speech, Soros said:

"Can we afford to care for the dying properly? The number of people dying in the United States currently stands at 2.2 million annually. Increases in cancer and AIDS deaths and the aging of the baby boomers will cause this figure to climb faster than the population… The fear is that the dying of the elderly will drain the national treasury. … Aggressive, life-prolonging interventions… are much more expensive than proper care for the dying."
Over the next ten years, Soros' Open Society Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation poured $200 million into Project on Death in America.

Remember that it only took $140 million for Soros and his fellow Pewgate conspirators to bamboozle Americans into surrendering their precious right of free political speech, via the McCain-Feingold Act of 2002 (see "Pewgate: The Battle of the Blogosphere.") How much more could they buy with $200 million?

The change in the legal and medical climate which paved the way for Terri Schiavo's bureaucratic murder arose directly from the work of Soros' Project on Death in America.

Saving Social Security – the Hard Way

In the Schiavo case, judges are now setting guidelines that will hold life-and-death significance for each and every one of us. Sooner than we think, we will grow old and feeble, unable to defend ourselves physically. As we lay in our beds, nurses will come bearing syringes. They will put us down like dogs in a veterinarian's office.

This is the solution that many among our elites have quietly devised for sparing the U.S. government the financial burden of providing medical entitlements to 76 million aging baby boomers. This is their plan to save the New Deal, the Great Society and the Social Security system.

It would seem that Terri Schiavo had the misfortune to be targeted as a test case for a wide-reaching change in medical policy. That, I believe, is why her would-be killers - those in black robes as well as white ones - run roughshod over the law with such fearless confidence. Powerful forces stand behind them. Hundreds of billions of dollars in future medical entitlements are at stake. And we all know that money talks.

The evil George Soros and his little pet, the democrat party, must be utterly destroyed.

Soros has played with the politics of so many nations, I can't believe he hasn't had an "accident" yet.

He has been for many years. It's just that people are finally beginning to realize it. What I've been wondering is how much Soros is paying Felos.

I'm starting to feel that Soros is public enemy number one.

There are 100s of men out there with the capital and shared political leanings of Soros. They just choose to keep a lower public profile.

They're all enemies.

I feel that way without listening to Soros.

"Time to prepare ourselves as best we can for what seems to have begun."

You may be right. George Soros is one of Hillary's biggest supporters. He also has a bigger voice in world affairs than many many realize. The following is old news, but any Soros/Solana meeting deserves watching:

http://europa-eu-un.org/articles/et/article_2304_et.htm

The EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, Javier Solana, will travel this week to New York for a series of meetings and official functions.

On Tuesday May 6, at 10.30 am, the EU High Representative for the CFSP will meet inter alia the United Nations Secretary General, Kofi Annan, to exchange views on major international issues, such as the latest events regarding the Iraq crisis and the Middle East.

On the occasion of his visit, High Representative Solana will also have meetings with other personalities, such as former President Clinton, Dr. George Soros, former US Ambassador Richard Holbrooke, and Dr. Kissinger.

Those of us who live in a Social Security enviornment discuss these issues but from a different perspective. We discuss ways to evade being meal tickets for those in the Medicare money machine who want to inflict more doctoring and prescription medicine on us than we need.

Note that they have also rationed health care by restricting the training of doctors and nurses that created shortages. I have only one additional request. I want American doctors who speak English not immigrants I cannot understand.

The entire article, linked below, is very much worth reading, and keeping:

George Soros' Agenda for Drug Legalization, Death, and Welfare

Soros has attributed his interest in this issue to his late father. In an interview with the New Yorker (January 23, 1995), Soros recounted his father's battle with cancer and voiced disapproval at the senior Soros's unwillingness to die. According to Soros, his father "...unfortunately wanted to live... I was kind of disappointed in him ... I wrote him off." George Soros's promotion of death can also be traced to his mother, who as a member of the Hemlock Society (a pro suicide organisation committed suicide.

In November 1996. the Open Society Institute's web site reported on Soros ' Project Death. It noted that "the Institute of Medicine of the National Institutes of Health, with PDIA's urging and support, held its first meeting on care at the end of life. Its examination and evaluation of the quality of care for the terminally ill will result in recommendations to policy makers and practitioners on steps to be taken to improve the delivery of services." (The "services" referred to are assisted suicide.)

1996, hmmm... secret medical meetings in DC?... Oh and something else from the article:

Arguing that the new laws on welfare reform are antithetical to the values of an Open Society, Soros is attempting to bypass or overturn their allegedly discriminatory provisions. He reveals a strategy that sows the seeds for potential voter fraud when he asserts, "The Fund supports activities related directly to the citizenship application process as well as English as a second language and civic instructions associated with the preparation for the citizenship exam." Last year's elections were marked by countless stories of voter fraud related to the registration and voting of immigrants. Critics accuse the Clinton administration of deliberately naturalizing thousands of new citizens (many with criminal backgrounds) so that they could vote in the November elections. Likewise, in California and elsewhere various get-out-the-vote groups were apparently responsible for widespread voting by illegal immigrants.
