After going more than eight days without food and water, starving Terri Schiavo looks "beautiful," the attorney for her husband, who appears to have won the battle to force her death, told reporters on Saturday.
"She looked beautiful," attorney George Felos said, emerging from a visit to her room. He claimed that Terri was "resting comfortably."
"In all the years I've seen Mrs. Schiavo, I have never seen such a look of peace and beauty upon her," he insisted. Felos's comments were sharply at odds with accounts from her family and their lawyers, who say her eyes are sunken, her skin is flaking and that she's bleeding from the eyes and mouth.
"It's like someone who is coming out of a bunker in Auschwitz," Terri's sister, Suzanne Vitadamo, told reporters Saturday.
"This is heinous what's happening, absolutely heinous - this is absolutely barbaric," her brother Bobby Schindler complained. "If she is in fact dying so peacefully and easily, why not allow a camera in there to videotape it?" he said.
Further belying Mr. Felos' claims that Terri is "resting comfortably," lawyers for her family say nurses have begun to administer morphine to ease the intense pain.
If I were George Felos and I really gave a damn about how I and my client looked, I'd shut up.

Wonder why such a peaceful and painless death requires the administering of morphine? Could they have lied?

He received an unprecedented level of campaign contributions, and he also received the illegal implied endorsements of many so-called "Republican" officials [actual endorsements would have been illegal, and statements which would make people believe an endorsement was given when one was not are also illegal; the "endorsements" are thus illegal whether genuine or not]. In other words, the establishment annointed him and the election was merely a ruse to obscure that fact.
Too bad Felos isn't in PVS then.

Interestingly, early this am, the History channel was covering British History, and when the narrator/historian described how they murdered deposed King Henry the Fourth, he said it was thought that they starved him to death so that when his corpse was displayed in church, no sword marks would be visible. "A particularly horrible way to die", is exactly what he said.

Many politicians have claimed to be be upright moral Republican citizens in order to win elections, yet after their election the mask is removed, you see the real truth and ugliness. Many have been deceived.
Amory Houghton always ran as a Republican, yet morphed into one of the biggest demonic liberals in congress. He got away with it his entire career, because once he left for Washington , people no longer paid attention.
The Mayor of NYC is a classic example.
Felos is flaunting his arrogance and is as much as saying,"Death becomes her". It is doubtful that Felos will die with such serenity, unless he likes extreme heat.
Morphine is administered at the end because it depresses the repiratory drive, leading to high CO2 build up, and the cessation of breathing. It is usually done through an IV slow drip. It is done to help terminal patients at the end of life, never to murder a severely handicapped person as in this case.
