a morphine drip has been administered by medical staff at her hospice to help her ease her pain What pain? I thought starving to death was supposed to be a painless process? Besides, she is supposed to be brain dead so she shouldn't feel any pain.

I have a hard problem with this no pain from starvation thing. I have gone back and reviewed all the pictures I have seen of inmates starving at the concentration camps and can find no examples of the inmates gleefully waving from inside the wire.
