HE IS AN ADULTERER, THEREFORE HE HAS NO RIGHTS AS A "HUSBAND". I don't see how you people can support Michael Schiavo's 'rights' to make decisions over Terri when he clearly has broken marriage vows and has a FIANCE and TWO CHILDREN!! That is a valid 'marriage' for him to be allowed all these rights over her mother, father and siblings?? Law needs to be changed.

Everyone is entrenched in their positions now. But, we should mark and revist this thread for updates a year from now.

My prediction is MS will become the flower boy for the right-to-die movement.

< If there is a burial and a grave, it'll constantly be used by the right to lifers and continually in the news. >

But wasn't that decision made long ago, BEFORE all the hype? Please correct me if I am wrong. I don't want to spread disinformation.

Maybe. But the media attention all but secured that, in my opinion. What a mess. Plus, there's no way MS will do anything for the Schindlers anymore. It's just way too personal now. If Terri only knew how this teared her family apart. It is so, so sad.

OK, I'll make you a bet...MS will give a few interviews and fade away. The Schindlers will be all over the place and will be the first to have a book and movie deal. Any takers?

No way I'm taking that bet. After this is over, I doubt we'll be hearing from MS unless the Schindlers keep up their holy jihad against him.

Since he hasn't been a regular visitor while she's been alive, I can hardly fathom him visiting her after her death

According to what Ive read he has visited Terri almost every day.

I have a feeling MS will be a hunted (and haunted) man for the rest of his life.

I agree with that. I'm waiting for someone to take my bet. They will.

I won't make bets because I just don't, but I disagree. I think the Schindler's will have a cause though, along the lines of what Mark Klass has done. I certainly think someone needs to keep this all in the forefront, especially to encourage living wills. "Never again" is my mantra.

I've written mine and had it notarized. I've even gone so far as to request specific guardianship of my decisions in the event that I am disbled. 9I'm not married). I took the opportunity to present my feelings to my family yesterday since we were all together for the holiday. Anyone else?

Heck, we've seen Freepers make not-so-subtle threats on his life.

You're not going to like what I'm about to say, but I think I know what MS is thinking. If there is a burial and a grave, it'll constantly be used by the right to lifers and continually in the news. And he doesn't think that's what Terri would have wanted. I'm not making a judgement, mind you. I'm just trying to give you a understandable explanation as to why he insists on this.

Another reason for the cremation is he likely fears that some ass like Randall Terry is going to photograph the body and leak that to the press. I'm sure the Schindlers would find that repulsive as well. Recall, Randall Terry is the jerk who mailed President Clinton a fetus. He's not one for subtlety if it funds his agenda or gets him publicity.

That's what I think. He's been advised it's the best thing to do for everyone involved.

Look at the bright side.

We could always get Governor Jeb Bush to make an appeal to the judicial authorities in this case, to release the body for a proper Christian Burial, with another "Please, Please? Mother, May I?" incantation. Who knows. Maybe they would even grant him their imperial permission, if he asks enough and says "please?" enough.

You are on. Mark the thread.

The Shinlders or perhaps Terri's brother will make some appearances, But book and movie deals - No way.

If a movie is made about this, hollywood will certainly do it from the right-to-die perspective.

First, the Shindler's lost and the public will not be interested in their story. The Shindler's value on the media circuit is much less than that of Michael.Secondly, Felos, Michael's attorney has been promininent in the right-to-die community for a long time. The Shindler's value on the media circuit is much less than that of Michael.

Then he must be psychic. Randall Terry is just recently on the scene but the cremation order was sought and approved on October 2, 2002 two and one-half years ago.

Sometimes I feel that if the Nazi parallel is used, it's been so over played that it becomes kooky to say it or parallel it to today's injustices. Our best conservative pundits have expose the "worse than Hitler" liberal tactic.

BUT! Please inform me--what socialist fascist organization not only murdered their ideological (and spiritual enemies) but burned the evidence after the fact?
