The killing of Terri is disturbing for many reasons. I'm curious how many people think Terri should not be killed, but accept the idea of killing the mentally disabled as allowed by Florida law?

Really. I think a lot of people comfort themselves by the fact (if it is indeed a fact) that what's being done is "legal", but they forget that slavery was legal, too.

1/2 of those that advocate violence or breaking the law are trolls that sign up just to start trouble. The other 1/2 are just letting their emotions overtake their brains. Amen!

I didn't see your plan for saving her life. What's yours?

I don't know why people keep comparing this to Elian.
He wasn't in immiment danger of harm nor death. Terri is.

Only fools demand their leaders break the lawThis bears repeating. Few people around here have considered the consequences if either of the Bush brothers were to do what they demand. Hello, Soviet Union!

I'm not the one taking potshots at another poster's plan. His is the best that's been offered so far, probably because it's the only one. I just thought it'd be nice if all the loudmouth smarty pants who think they know better would put their money where their mouths are, and put forth something constructive.

Violence NO NO NO - But there is nothing against Shouting! What can we do?
Impeach Greer in the state system for the details below, and impeach Whittimore in the federal system for ignoring the law passed by congress.

The President or the Governor can write an executive order to get Terri into a hospital immediately. It is not breaking any law to do so.If they do, what's to stop a governor or president from issuing an executive order to have you taken into custody and hospitalized, against your spouse's wishes, just because a group of protesters demands it?
To: mountaineer
That would be illegal as would be illegal to issue an executive order to commit an illegal act.
The saving of an innocent life is NOT an illegal act, and whenever the state takes life, it cheapens life. Moreover, either the Governor or the President has the power to issue that EO.

Plan ? This nut case is advocating violence. Why don't you all mind your own damn business before you do something you will regret.

There are plenty of people here at FR that aren't calling Jeb and Dubya accomplices to murder and advocating that all GOP politicians rescue her by any means necessary.
But, there are probably some who are. It's just frustration. It'll pass and they'll start acting normally again.

I can't believe some of the crazy things I've read here recently.
